Embodiments of the present invention are directed to methods and systems for the efficient management of a digital currency system using a cryptocurrency scheme. Embodiments utilize a payment processor computer to manage entities in the digital currency system, which have the rights to generate, distribute, transact with, and redeem units of a digital currency. In some embodiments, the digital currency may represent points in a loyalty program operated by an entity or organization. Transactions performed using the digital currency and rules governing the digital currency can be tracked and maintained in a master ledger maintained by the payment processor computer, and distributed as sub-ledgers to other entities within the digital currency system.
Abstract:
A decentralized offer management system is described. An appliance may be capable of storing and managing offers related to the appliance without communication with a central server. The appliance may receive and store offer attributes related to offers received from an offer provider computer. When a user utilizes their user device to communicate with the appliance, the appliance may determine offers related to the stored offer attributes that can be provided to the user. In some cases, the offers may be specific to the appliance or specific to the user. The appliance may send an offer to the user device, where the offer may indicate that the user is to perform certain actions to qualify to redeem the offer. The appliance may verify that the user has performed such actions before enabling the offer to be redeemed.

Embodiments of the present invention include a dynamic and auditable rules-based spend requirement management (SRM) server configured to receive transaction data associated with a payment transaction involving an issuer of an account, where the account is associated with a first set of account level requirements (e.g., a minimum spend requirement) and a first interchange rate. The SRM is further configured to determine that the transaction data is not within the first set of account level requirements, but is within a second set of account level requirements associated with a second interchange rate, and associate the account to the second set of account level requirements by way of a final product identifier stored in a database accessible by a payment processing network (PPN).
Abstract:
An appliance is capable of storing and processing data related to details surrounding its ownership, behavior, and history within itself in a secure and unalterable way. The appliance may experience multiple transfers in ownership during its lifetime. Certain data stored in the appliance may be encrypted such that only qualifying parties (e.g., owners) may be able to access the data. Some data may remain private to an individual owner while other data may be made available to subsequent owners by passing a shared secret that can be utilized to decrypt the other data. Data may be stored in the appliance in chronological order and may be signed by appropriate parties such that it is not possible to alter the data without detection.
