Abstract: An aid device (1) suitable for assisting a person to put on tight elastic support stockings is made of flexible low-friction sheet material (10), and comprises: a central body portion (100) comprising: - a distal edge (102) and a proximal edge (103); - a first side edge (104) and a second side edge (105); - a first engagement area (114) arranged along the first side edge (104); - a second engagement area (115) arranged along the second side edge (105). An elongate pulling handle (204) for removing the device from the user's foot by exerting a pulling force is attached to an engagement area (114) and/or to a side edge (104) of the centra! body portion (100), and has a longitudinal extent that makes an angle in the range between 60° and 90° with said side edge.
