The first transmission band comprises a first subcarrier spacing Δf1 and a first symbol length of T1 in time domain. The method includes operating, by the communication device, a second transmission band associated with a second numerology. The second transmission band comprises a second subcarrier spacing Δf2. The method also includes operating, by the communication device, a third transmission band positioned between the first transmission band and the second transmission band. The third transmission band comprises a subcarrier spacing equal to the second subcarrier spacing Δf2 and a symbol length equal to the first symbol length T1.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems for reducing Peak Average Power Ratio (PAPR) in signal transmissions are described. In one example aspect, a wireless communication method includes determining, for an input sequence, an output sequence corresponding to an output of a convolutional modulation between a plurality of values and an intermediate sequence. The intermediate sequence is generated by inserting a set of coefficients between coefficients of the input sequence. Each non-zero coefficient of the set of coefficients is inserted between a first adjacent coefficient and a second adjacent coefficient. Each non-zero coefficient has a power that is between a first power of the first adjacent coefficient and a second power of the second adjacent coefficient and a phase value between a first phase value of the first adjacent coefficient and a second phase value of the second adjacent coefficient. The method also includes generating a waveform using the output sequence.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus and systems for determining a transport block size in a wireless communication are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device is disclosed. The method comprises: receiving control information from a wireless communication node, wherein the control information includes a plurality of transmission parameters related to transport blocks to be transmitted between the wireless communication device and a wireless communication node; calculating an intermediate transport block size (TBS) for the transport blocks based on the plurality of transmission parameters; modifying the intermediate TBS to generate a modified TBS in response to at least one event; and determining a final TBS for the transport blocks based on a TBS that is closest to the modified TBS, among TBSs that are in a quantized set and not smaller than the modified TBS, wherein each TBS in the quantized set is evenly divisible by a least common multiple of eight and a quantity of code blocks in each of the transport blocks.
