    Abstract: The application relates to a sensing assembly for use in a filtration system, comprising a first pressure sensor fluidly coupled to an inlet of a filter element and configured to measure an inlet pressure. A second pressure sensor is fluidly coupled to an outlet of the filter element and configured to measure an outlet pressure, and includes a second wireless transmitter. A filter status module comprises a housing, a sensor signal receiving circuitry configured to wirelessly receive the inlet and outlet pressure signals, a differential pressure determination circuitry configured to determine the inlet pressure, the outlet pressure, and determine a differential pressure across the filter element. A filter operating parameter determination circuitry disposed is configured to determine an operating parameter of the filter element based upon the differential pressure, and a communication interface is configured to indicate the operating parameter of the filter element to a user.

    Abstract: A rotating separator including a filter element extending axially along a longitudinal axis and including a first endplate, a second endplate, and a separating element. The first endplate includes a center tube. The second endplate is coupled to the first endplate and includes a central aperture having a perimeter and receiving the center tube. The filter element also includes an axially extending slot and an axially extending protrusion positioned on one of the first endplate and the second endplate and configured to engage with each other. The first and second endplates form an interior cavity when coupled together. The rotating separator includes a filter structure positioned within the interior cavity.

    Abstract: Various example embodiments relate to an automatic drain system for use with a fluid water separator. The automatic drain system includes a liquid-in-fuel sensor configured to detect a liquid level in a water sump. A pump includes an inlet in fluid communication with the water sump and an outlet in fluid communication with the inlet. The pump has an active state and an inactive state. The active state causes the pump to draw liquid in from the inlet and direct liquid toward the outlet. A battery is configured to power the pump. A circuit board is operably connected to the pump and battery. The circuit board includes at least one circuit having a first state and a second state. The first state prevents power flow from the battery to the pump. The second state facilitates power flow from the battery to the pump, transitioning the pump from inactive to active.

    Abstract: A separator system comprises a main separator, and an additional separator including one of a pre-separator, post separator, or line-of-sight baffle. The additional separator separates liquid particles from an air/liquid mixture and comprises an inlet, an air outlet, a liquid outlet, and a plurality of posts disposed between the inlet and the air outlet. The posts are arranged in a staggered array and comprise a convex end portion having an impaction surface, a portion of liquid particles from the air/liquid mixture adhering as a liquid film to the impaction surface, and a hook end portion positioned downstream the convex end portion and including hooks having an end and a collection pocket disposed between the impaction surface and the end. The collection pocket collects the portion of liquid particles adhered as the liquid film to the impaction surface.

    Abstract: A separation assembly comprises a housing, a jet that expels a fluid within the housing, and a turbine positioned within the housing and positioned so as to be contacted by the fluid expelled from the jet. The fluid causes the turbine to rotate about a center rotational axis within the housing. The turbine comprises a first axial end, a second axial end, and a plurality of vanes extending axially relative to the center rotational axis from the first axial end to the second axial end. The plurality of vanes defines axially-extending channels between each of the plurality of vanes. The first axial end is axially open such that fluid can flow unblocked axially through the first axial end and into the channels. The jet is positioned such that at least a portion of the fluid enters into the turbine through the first axial end.

    Abstract: A filter assembly comprises a filter housing defining an internal volume, a filter element positioned within the internal volume, and a gasket retainer. An outer edge of the gasket retainer is coupled to a top end of the filter housing, and an inner rim thereof forms a gasket retainer ledge. The filter assembly further comprises a retainer loop comprising a retainer loop main body. A plurality of retainer arms extend axially from the retainer loop main body towards the gasket retainer. Each of the plurality of retainer arms comprise a retainer arm ledge extending radially towards the retainer loop main body and snap-fit to the gasket retainer ledge. A retainer loop sidewall extends from the main body away from the gasket retainer. An outer surface of the retainer loop sidewall defines a curvature. A sealing member is removably positioned around the outer surface of the retainer loop sidewall.
