Abstract:
This invention is an improved method for attaching soft tissue to bone by passing a suture (26) through an opening (30) in the bone, e.g., a transosseous tunnel, and affixing the soft tissue with the suture (26). The improvement for preventing the suture (26) from migrating through the bone at the end of the opening (30), includes placing an eyelet (32) into an end of the bone opening (30) and passing the suture through the eyelet (32), as well as through the opening in the bone, in order to affix the soft tissue to the bone with the suture (26).
Abstract:
A manual gardening implement (10) having two tools, for example ground-working tools (12,14) having tines for breaking up soil. At least one of the tools (14) has two positions, a working position in which it is located at the working end of a shaft (16) of the implement, and a non-working position in which the tool is drawn up the shaft away from the ground-working end of the implement to occupy a retracted position.

Abstract:
A handle may be coupled by means of a fastening coupling to gardening tools provided with a complementary coupling. Locking is ensured in a known manner by means of a leaf spring with a protuberance that engages a locking hole in a plugged-in tool plugging pin. In order to uncouple the tool, the leaf spring must be radially lifted by means of a swivelling lever that acts upon the free end of the leaf spring and is in turn actuated by the axial motion of a triggering button movably mounted at the end of the handle. The triggering button is pulled back by the radial restoring force of the leaf spring that swivels back the swivelling lever that in turn exercises an axial force on the triggering button.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a household and gardening device comprising the element of a shaft coupling system, said element enabling the device, for example a rake, a grubber or the like, to be fixed to a shaft. Said element of the shaft coupling system, fixed to the device, comprises a tenon which can be inserted into the shaft end and can be fixed therein by means of shaft-side coupling elements. An impact socket can be slid over the tenon, said socket consisting of a head part and a sleeve which are embodied in a sheath-type manner and can be engaged and locked together. The sleeve is thus positioned in the head part with plates comprising holes which extend perpendicularly to the shaft axis and are aligned with holes in the head part. The tenon comprises another hole which can be thus be covered, and the socket is fixed without play by means of an interlocking pin which penetrates all of the holes and fixes the socket to the tenon without play. Said interlocking pin forms part of a stop plug which can be inserted into the head part in a flush manner. The shaft-side front surface of the sleeve is provided with a collar which surrounds the shaft end in the coupled state. Said front surface is provided with a plurality of symmetrical knops for compensating axial tolerances.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a work tool. Work tools which can be used for various purposes - as manual gardening tools such as hoes, shovels and spades, for example, or as cleaning tools such as brooms, dustpans or the like - comprise a handle (13) and a tool (11) having a shank (12). The aim of the invention is to provide a detachable connecting element (14) between a tool (11) and a tool handle, said element being self-locking and comprising as few parts as possible which project over the outer contour of the handle. In order to achieve this, one end of a swivel arm (20) is arranged in a fixed manner in relation to the sleeve (15), and the other free end of the swivel arm (20) is arranged on the actuating lever (17). The holding arm (18), actuating lever (17) and swivel arm (20) come together in a self-locking position in the first final position (I) of the actuating lever (17).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a sieve scoop which comprises an electric drive mechanism (40) integrated in the scoop handle (20) and which is provided for cleaning cat litter trays.
Abstract:
Implement attachment to convert the free end of an implement handle so that the implement may be used as a crowbar or for tilling soil. The implement attachment (10) includes an elongate tubular element (14) having an open end (14a) into which the implement handle (12) is removably accommodated. At the opposite end (14b), the tubular element (14) is joined to a flattened and hardened chisel point element (16). To facilitate attachment to the implement handle, a strap (24) is secured to the periphery of the element (14) at end (14a) and a wedge element (32) is provided which can be driven between the strap (24) and the bifurcated sections (20, 22) of the tubular element (14) to firmly secure the implement attachment (10) to the implement handle (12).
