Abstract:
A suspended track amusement ride is disclosed. A cylindrical rail is suspended from catenary curved tensioned support cables by vertical attachment cables, creating a single rail track that can be suspended over large distances.
Abstract:
A ride system includes a tunnel, a vehicle ride path in the tunnel, an entrance disposed at a first end of the tunnel, a second end of the tunnel, one or more walls of the tunnel, and a projection system to project images onto the one or more walls of the tunnel. The tunnel is curved such that the second end of the tunnel is not visible at an intermediate position between the first end of the tunnel and the second end of the tunnel.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention is about a waterslide that is mainly used for the purpose of entertainment and sports and that offers a more than one lane sliding path to enable racing and of which the riding experience is through a vehicle which is called raft, tube or boat, takes the rider in various directions in line with its route and enables the rider to experience a back and forth swing movement while ensuring a safe sliding experience.
Abstract:
A method of fabricating an amusement park ride track utilizing stock, planar materials, namely comprising of creating elongated, curved structures from planar materials. A roller coaster track capable of being fabricated from multiple planar pieces without heating or bending. Other embodiments are described which utilize elongated, curved structures such as ski lifts, people movers, staircases and architectural structures. A jig is disclosed for providing for ease of manufacture of the elongated, curved structures.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an amusement device comprising a track-like guide construction (2), along which at least one vehicle (4) is movable in a direction of transport. The vehicle comprises a holder (5) for a person, which holder comprises at least a back support (26) and a seat (6). The back support can be positioned against a person's back, with the persons'back including an acute angle with the guide construction, seen in the direction of transport, under the influence of the back support.
Abstract:
Amusement apparatus (10) which permits unusual compactness and easy transportation comprises a vehicle (12) for accommodating users, the vehicle being suitable for following a path in space which comprises a component due to oscillation about a centre of instantaneous rotation and a component due to rotation about an axis oriented variously in space. The vehicle (12) is supported on a support structure (16) comprising two rails (22) the shape of which defines the shape of the component due to oscillation of the vehicle (12).
Abstract:
A dynamic ride vehicle for executing a sequence of distinct motion patterns and for providing unique ride experiences in an amusement park attraction or other environment includes a movable chassis and a body having a passenger seating area. A motion apparatus, including computer controlled actuators, imparts motion to the body along a plurality of axes independent of any motion of the chassis as it moves along a path. As the vehicle travels along the path, articulation of the body and appropriate steering of the vehicle enables the vehicle to execute, in cooperation with the motion apparatus, a sequence of distinct motion patterns. Execution of the motion patterns enhances the passengers' sensation of vehicle movement that is actually taking place, as well as the sensation of a realistic moving ride vehicle experience that is actually not happening.
