Abstract:
A prewetting apparatus (10) for mixing dry material with a liquid before mixing. The wetting apparatus (10) has a cylindrical upper chamber (20) mounted above a lower mixing chamber (22). The lower mixing chamber (22) has a conic surface (40) with an outlet below (42). Pressurized liquid is introduced from a housing (24) which extends circumferentially about an upper portion of the lower section. Liquid is introduced through apertures (78) into a groove (33) at the upper edge of the conic surface at a predetermined flow rate and pressure so as to swirl helically down the conic mixing surface (40) to exit at the outlet (42). Dry particulate matter is metered through an inlet formed in the upper cylindrical portion (20) and is dropped at a predetermined rate into the liquid swirling in the mixing section (22).
Abstract:
An apparatus for the preparation of colored materials in powder form for the manufacture of ceramic tiles, which comprises a mixer constituted by an upper cover (6) connected to the supply line (3) of the base material and by a mixing chamber (5); a vibrating frame (9) located between upper cover and mixing chamber; a perforated baffle fixed to the vibrating frame, the vibrating frame is connected with seal to the mixing chamber. The apparatus is provided with a system for the generation of an operating vacuum pressure in the upper cover and an injection system of the colorant at the base of the mixing chamber. The apparatus of the present invention produces a method for the preparation of colored materials in powder form for the manufacture of ceramic tiles, wherein the atomized and/or granulated ceramic material of uniform particle size, containing or not containing coloring substances, is fed uniformly into a chamber under vacuum pressure with respect to the mixing chamber connected to said chamber through a vibrated perforated baffle; coloring particles are injected at the base of a mixing chamber; the atomized and/or granulated ceramic material falls by gravity and is sprinkled inside the mixing chamber; and mixing in gaseous phase of the atomized and/or granulated ceramic material with the rising current of coloring particles.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention concerns a process and an apparatus for continuously producing chlorine dioxide, the process comprising the steps of: feeding chlorate ions, acid and hydrogen peroxide as aqueous solutions to a reactor; reducing chlorate ions in the reactor to chlorine dioxide, thereby forming a product stream in the reactor containing chlorine dioxide; feeding motive water (5) to an eductor comprising a nozzle (26); bringing the motive water to flow through the nozzle and causing it to flow further through the eductor in an at least partially spiral or helical manner; transferring the product stream from the reactor to the eductor and mixing it with the motive water and thereby forming a diluted aqueous solution containing chlorine dioxide, and; withdrawing the diluted aqueous solution containing chlorine dioxide from the eductor.
