Abstract:
A system for saving cold water retained in a hot water line is provided, comprising: a) a reservoir for collecting cold water, with means for indicating the level of water in said reservoir; b) at least one electrical valve that allows filling or emptying of said reservoir according to an open or closed state of the valve; c) a sub-pressure generating mechanism connected between a consumer outlet line and a water faucet connected to said hot water line, said mechanism including an inlet for bypassing the flow of said cold water to said reservoir, upon opening said water faucet, and for mixing said cold water with water from said hot water line, whenever the temperature of the hot water is above a predetermined value or whenever said reservoir is full; and d) an electronic unit for controlling said electrical valve according to water temperature, water pressure and water level.
Abstract:
A system for diluting and dispensing concentrated liquid products is disclosed. The system includes a dispensing device (10, 150) containing a removable variable proportioning means such as an aspirator assembly (40, 154). A concentrate pickup tube (114) attaches to the dispensing device and is in fluid communication with the aspirator assembly. The dispensing device can utilize a rigid outlet tube (20, 159) which is removably attached to nozzle tip (18, 158) for dispensing to large containers. Also disclosed is a method for diluting and dispensing chemical solutions using the dispensing device of the invention.
Abstract:
A washing system using a mixture of various liquid chemicals, which comprises a means for pumping a liquid carrying medium, at least one jet pipe connected at one end thereof to the pumping means and opened at the other end, a plurality of suction pipes connected to the jet pipe at given intervals and each communicating with the jet pipe, and a plurality of liquid chemical tanks into which the openings at the ends of the suction pipes are inserted respectively. With this arrangement, a large amount of an object can be successively washed on the principle of an aspirator with the liquid chemical mixture without causing contamination. Since the pumping means allows only the liquid carrying medium to pass therethrough, there is no possibility of the interior of the pumping means (pump) being corroded by the liquid chemical mixture.
Abstract:
An aerosol actuator and manifold for dispersing an aerosol product wherein the manifold includes one or more air vents to promote the foaming of an aerosol product dispersed from the aerosol actuator. In some embodiments, the one or more air vents may be positioned downstream of an orifice cup mounted on the orifice of the manifold.
Abstract:
Abstract:
An apparatus has a fluid flow portion that is introduced as part of a fluid flow continuum. The fluid flow portion is situated above a plurality of liquid-holding chambers. Each chamber forms a fluid flow continuum from the chamber through a tube-like structure that intersects the fluid flow portion. A control means is provided to set the fluid flow from the chamber at a determined level. An alternative embodiment provides an apparatus that is fully portable.
Abstract:
A supply cap (1) is provided for attachment to the outlet (2) of a container (3) to permit supply of a quantity of substance from whithin the container (3) to a supply conduit (15) in a sealed manner when the container (3) is inverted so that the outlet (2) is at its bottom. The cap (1) has a connector body (8) which is sealingly engageable with the outlet (2), an outlet duct (13) extending through the connector body (8) for supply of a quantity of substance from within the container (3) when the container is inverted, and an inlet duct (14) extending through the connector body (8) for the passage of air and/or rinsing liquid into the container (3). A dry break coupling part (17) is mounted on the connector body (8) for sealingly coupling the outlet duct (13) to the supply conduit (15) such that, when the supply conduit (15) is connected to the coupling part (17), supply of a quantity of substance from the outlet duct (13) to the supply conduit (15) is permitted whereas, when the supply conduit (15) is disconnected from the coupling part (17), the outlet duct (13) is closed off. Use of such a supply cap for dispensing of chemical concentrate serves to obviate the hazard to the operator due to possible concentrate spillage.
Abstract:
A chemical concentrate metering device (16) is provided for an agricultural or horticultural or forestry sprayer system including a reservoir (2) for supplying a dilutant and a spray head (10) for spraying a mixture of the dilutant and a chemical concentrate. The metering device (16) comprises a conduit (17) having an inlet (18) for receiving dilutant from the system and an outlet (19) for supplying a mixture of the dilutant and a chemical concentrate to the system. In addition a seating (22) is provided for detachably receiving a receptacle (31) for supplying chemical concentrate and an injection orifice (26) opens into the conduit (17) and communicates with an outlet (35) of the receptacle (31) received in the seating (22) so as to enable chemical concentrate to be injected from the receptacle (31) into a flow of dilutant in the conduit (17). This enables the chemical concentrate to be supplied directly to the spray head or to an intervening storage tank prior to supply to the spray head, without risk of the user being contaminated by the chemical concentrate.
