Abstract:
A grinding member (100) comprises an elongated support profile (110), the cross-section of the support profile (110) comprising a vertical direction (S1) and a lateral direction (S2), whereby the cross-section of the support profile (110) has at least one portion (112) the dimension of which is, in the lateral direction (S2), greater than the corresponding greatest dimension, in the lateral direction (S2), of the portion (111) above it in the vertical direction (S1), whereby the support profile (110) can be engaged with a groove (20) having a corresponding cross-section; and an elastic grinding plate (120) fastened to the portion (111 ) positioned highest in the vertical direction (S1) of the cross-section of the support profile (110) and protruding from the upper surface of the support profile (110).
Abstract:
An improved low pressure low speed concrete polishing apparatus and method of cleaning and polishing a floor is used with a conventional rotary flooring machine. A polishing pad has interchangeable polymer strips that are slideably received within the housing of the pad. The polymer strips have an abrasive material embedded therein which collectively work to polish the floor while cleaning the floor during normal low speed floor cleaning conditions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a machine for surface treatment, such as grinding or polishing, of a workpiece and comprises a rotating cylinder (1 , 19). On the cylindrical face, a number of grinding or polishing modules (17, 18) are provided that comprise hold-back means, preferably in the shape of brushes (13). The invention is characterised in that the brushes (13) extend outwards and forwards relative to the direction of rotation of the rotating cylinder. Hereby it is accomplished that, by a combination of the rotation of the cylinder and the movement of the workpiece in the direction of conveyance of the apparatus, the grinding means establish contact with the end face (101 ) on the workpiece (100) to the effect that grinding or polishing of the end face (101 ) is obtained.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a grinding element for mounting in a recess (41) in a surface of a cylindric drum (42) and including a retainer means (2) designed with outer sidewalls that are complementary to sidewalls of the recess (41), where a squeezing force (F) on the sidewalls of the retainer means (2) arises in a situation of use by rotation of the cylindric drum (42), where the retainer means (2) includes at least one groove (5) for securing a grinding means (1), the groove (5) extending from an outwards facing side of the retainer means (2) and inwards and forming at least one elastic, pliable flap which is disposed between the said groove (5) and at least one of the outer sidewalls, wherein the grinding means (1) for accommodation in the groove (5) has a bottom part with a shape complementary to the groove.
Abstract:
Sanding wheels for the processing of the surfaces of items normally comprise sending strips (12) extending radially from a cylindrical core, and comprising bracing elements in the form of in-line brushes which on the one side (the front) are provided with a sanding means (30). The in-line brushes are normally mounted in a profile rail (16) with a U-shaped cavity together with the sanding means (30), and are typically secured by the use of a clamping rail or by fusible wire, whereby the sanding means and brush hair are moulded together in the U-shaped cavity. As a result of the anchoring of the sanding means in the profile rail (16) together with the brush hairs, the known sanding strips become inflexible. There is disclosed a sanding strip (12) whose brushes are placed in spaced bunches (15) in the profile rail (16), where the sanding means (30) are fastened directly to the front of the brushes outside the profile rail (16), preferably by means of extruded glue (2, 44) which penetrates into the spaces (17) between the brush bunches (15), whereby there is achieved an effective anchoring of the sanding means (30), and a sanding strip which is flexible to accommodate outwards bending in the sideways directions.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a grinding tool which is driven about an axis of revolution (2) and which has radially outwardly projecting, blade-shaped grinding elements (3). Said grinding elements (3) have an abrasive surface and adjacent slits (5, 6), preferably situated at alternately different distances from the axis of revolution (2). Spacers (4) are situated between the grinding elements (3). The grinding elements (3) are retained by retaining rods (7) which are preferably mounted in such a way that they can rotate about their longitudinal axis in the base body (1) or the retaining cage (8) of the grinding tool. An advantage of this arrangement is that the tool can be produced with very large dimensions and that it is particularly suitable for machining workpieces with a curved surface.
