Eine Gießvorrichtung (10), insbesondere Spritzgießvorrichtung (10), zur Erzeugung von wenigstens teilweise hohlen Gegenständen umfasst eine Füllvorrichtung (12), welche zum Einfüllen von fließfähigem Gießmaterial in eine Hauptkavität (18) ausgebildet ist, sowie eine Verdrängungsvorrichtung (14), welche dazu ausgebildet ist, auf ihre Aktivierung hin einen Teil des in die Hauptkavität (18) eingefüllten Gießmaterials in eine mit der Hauptkavität (18) in Strömungsverbindung stehende oder bringbare Nebenkavität (20) zu verdrängen, wobei die Nebenkavität (20) zumindest abschnittsweise, vorzugsweise vollständig, beheizbar ist.

Disclosed is a method of removing voids from a molded product, in which a main mold, in which a product is molded, is connected with an auxiliary mold, and molten material in the auxiliary mold moves toward the main mold by adjusting a cooling time between the main mold and the auxiliary mold, thereby preventing voids from occurring in the middle portion of the molded product having a large thickness or various thicknesses, preventing sink marks from occurring at the molded product having a small thickness, and enhancing mechanical rigidity and reliability of the molded product. The method includes the steps of: preparing a main mold by which a product to be molded is molded and an auxiliary mold connected with the main mold; introducing molten resin into the auxiliary mold and the main mold; and retarding cooling of the auxiliary mold such that negative pressure in the auxiliary mold is different from that in the main mold due to a cooling time difference and a temperature difference. The molten resin in the auxiliary mold moves toward the main mold, and then is filled in the main mold in which the voids occur during the cooling.

Molding apparatus and method for the production of polyurethane articles (14) covered with a film (22), the apparatus comprising a matrix element (11) and a mating punch element (12). The matrix element (11) has a concave configuration with a lowered cavity able to contain in height the whole form of the article (14) to be made. The apparatus also comprises an annular element (28) able to be arranged above the matrix element (11) and including a raised peripheral edge (29) to contain splashes of material.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Strukturteil (15) für einen Rahmen (11) von einem Fahrzeug (10), wobei das Strukturteil (15) als Gussteil (52) in einer Gussform (50) herstellbar ist und die Gussform (50) die dreidimensionale Außenform des Strukturteils (15) wiedergibt. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass das Strukturteil (15) durch ein insbesondere selbstaufquellendes Schaumharz (20) gebildet ist. Ferner ist die Erfindung auch auf ein entsprechendes Herstellungsverfahren für ein derartiges Strukturteil(15) gerichtet.

The invention concerns a device (1) for producing a moulded part from a composite material comprising a mixture of reinforcement fibres (2) and a resin (3), said device (1) comprising: - a mould (4) wherein a recess (5) is provided, configured for the arrangement of the fibres (2); - a counter-mould (6) which is provided with at least one channel (9) for introducing the resin (3) into the recess (5), and which is intended to rest against the mould (4) in order to close the recess (5); - means for positioning and securing the counter-mould (6) on the mould (4); - at least one means (7) for depressurising the recess (5) - the mould (4) and the counter-mould (6) comprising respective support areas surrounding the recess (5), which comprise two seals delimiting a closing chamber (22). The invention also concerns a method for producing a moulded part from a composite material implementing the device (1).

The present invention discloses a contact lens mould for producing a contact lens. The mould comprises a first mould half (10) having a convex moulding surface (36m) of predetermined curvature, and a second mould half (12) having a concave moulding surface (26f) of predetermined curvature. The first mould half (10) is provided with an annular abutment surface (38m) which circumferentially surrounds and is contiguous with the convex moulding surface (36m), and the second mould half (12) is provided with a flexible annular lip (28f) which circumferentially surrounds the concave moulding surface (26f). In use, when the mould halves (10, 12) are brought together, the annular lip (28f) forms a continuous line contact with the abutment surface (38m) whereby a mould cavity (40) is defined between the moulding surfaces (26f, 36m), a radially inner surface (42f) of the annular lip (28f) and at least part of the abutment surface (38m), and an angle (α) of less than 180° is defined between the abutment surface (38m) and the convex moulding surface (36m) at their intersection and an included angle (θ) of less than 90° is defined between the abutment surface (38m) and the radially inner surface (42f) of the lip (28f). As the mould halves (10, 12) are brought closer together during polymerisation, the lip (28f) flexes radially outwardly.

The invention provides mandrels (10) for producing elastomeric components such as mammary implants. Specifically, the invention provides mandrels that include a mold (11), a shaft (12) attached to the mold, and a drip retainer (19) attached to the shaft. The drip retainers disclosed herein are configured to catch and contain fluids (e.g., elastomeric compounds dispersed in solvents) that run and/or drip off the mold and shaft, and to retain such fluids when the dipping mandrel is inverted. The invention also provides drip retainers that can catch and contain fluids (e.g., elastomeric compounds dispersed in solvents) when attached to a dipping mandrel, and can retain the fluids upon inversion of the dipping mandrel.
