Abstract:
A composite loop face fabric which incorporates a multi-bar stitch-bonded construction and related fastening system. A yarn system forms an arrangement of surface loops extending in stitched relation through a composite nonwoven substrate incorporating one or more layers of melt blown nonwoven fibrous material in sandwiched relation to one or more layers of spunbond nonwoven fibrous material. Multiple layers of melt blown nonwoven material and/or spunbond nonwoven material may be used if desired.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A woven fabric (100) having yarns which float, (107, 108), and fibers of the yarns which form connecting elements (113, 123), of the main bodies of yarns interlaced in the second direction of the fabric.
Abstract:
A blister or composite fabric (10) formed of a double layer jersey knit which is needled to produce internal connections of filaments and/or fibers from yarns extending into, and/or between, the yarns of an adjacent layer.
Abstract:
A three-dimensional warp knitting fabric which is excellent in functionality and decorativeness, can be used in a wide range of applications, and has sewing-knitting surfaces. During knitting by a warp knitting machine having two rows of pointed knitting needles (101, 102), while forming sewing-knitting surfaces for sheet-like materials (103a, 103b), at least a one-side pointed knitting needle row is used to link the both surfaces together by means of a bulky portion forming yarn (Y102). The bulky portion forming yarn is inserted and knit into sinker loops (105a, 105b) of stitch rows (104a, 104b) by knitting yarns (Y101, Y103) or sewn/knit into the sheet-like materials, for linking the both surfaces, thereby forming a three-dimensional knitting fabric having a variety of functionality and decorativeness suitable for applications.
Abstract:
A loop fabric for use as a female member of a hook and loop fastening structure, the fabric comprising a non-woven web (1) of discontinuous fibres and/or continuous filaments having a plurality of chain stitches (4) formed by stitch bonding on a first side (11) of the web, the discontinuous fibres and/or continuous filaments forming loops on a second side (12) of the web opposite the first side. The chain stitches (4) are formed by stitch bonding the web (1) and may comprise portions of the discontinuous fibres and/or continuous filaments. The stitches (4) may be formed in parallel wales (3) distributed across the width of the fabric. The stitch bonding to form the chain stitches (4) is carried out on a stitch bonding machine having piercing needles (2) provided with a hook (5). In each piercing operation the needle (2) collects the discontinuous fibres and/or continuous filaments in the hook (5) of the needle and uses the collected fibres and/or filaments to produce a chain stitch (4). The invention offers the advantage of a cheap and economical method of producing a surface fastener cloth without any textile yarn in the warp and/or weft direction. The cloth is a stitch-bonded fabric having a structure in which the stitching loops (4) are formed from the fibres of the web (1).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of knitting a two-plane type wrap knitted fabric which comprises two opposed foundation clothes and connection fibers for connecting and knitting the clothes, and a knitting structure. In particular, a two-plane type wrap knitted fabric is obtained, of which a knitting structure enables positive raising of foundation yarns, which are on a back knitting side, among yarns, which constitute the foundation clothes, without being influenced by the connection fibers when raising outer sides of the foundation clothes of the two-plane type warp knitted fabric, that is, the back knitting side. Therefore, at least one of foundation clothes (60) is constituted by a combination of foundation yarns of at least two kinds of knitting compositions such that a direction, in which the other foundation yarns (11) except for at least one kind of foundation yarns in the foundation cloth composition overlap, is opposite to a direction, in which said excluded foundation yarns (12) and the connection fibers (14) overlap. Knitting is performed by setting a supply ratio of said other foundation yarns at overfeed, so that needle loops (11a) of said other foundation yarns are expanded outward. Accordingly, it is possible to raise the needle loops (11a) of the expanded foundation yarns without being affected by the connection fibers.
