Abstract:
The invention relates to a system and a method for insulating a double shell exterior wall. The system comprises an inner shell (1; 101)and an outer shell (2; 102), and mounting anchors (8; 108)being fastened to the inner shell (1; 01) with lateral offsets, and in rows with uniform elevation offsets from one another. The mounting anchors (8; 108) comprise securing means (6; 106). The system further comprises at least one first insulation layer (4; 104) having insulation elements(41, 51; 141, 151), which are supported by the mounting anchors (8; 108) between the inner shell (1; 101) and the outer shell (2; 102).

Abstract:
A coating composition for forming a barrier membrane (16) on an exterior wall (10) of a building includes a fluid mixture of water, a binder, and at least about 3 wt% of an alcohol. After spreading the mixture on the exterior wall (10), at least the binder forms the barrier membrane (16). A method of applying a membrane (16) composition to an exterior wall (10) of a building includes providing a first mixture including at least about 82 wt% of an alcohol, providing a fluid composition including a binder and water, mixing the first mixture and the fluid composition to form a second mixture having alcohol in an amount of at least about 3 wt%, and spreading the second mixture on the substrate.
Abstract:
A thermal break clip for securing insulation between two construction surfaces, and preventing thermal bridges. In another aspect, a method for securing insulation between two construction surfaces. In yet another aspect, an insulation system is disclosed.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a wall anchor system for securing an insulation board (11) within a cavity wall, comprising an inner wall (1), an outer wall (6) and a cavity in between said inner and outer walls in which insulation boards are accommodated, said inner wall comprising at least one wall element having at least one retention groove (3) for receiving at least one wall anchor (2) having a protruding rod member (21) extending from the wall element, when the wall anchor is inserted in the retention groove and secured therein by a rotation of the wall anchor, and that at least one insulation board (11) is mounted on said at least one wall anchor. Hereby, an inexpensive wall anchor system is achieved which is particularly suitable for use in relation to lime stone elements.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a envelope structure (1) for a building, comprising a inner-sided inner layer (3) with or without an insulating layer (7), and an outer layer (2), also comprising a heat-reflecting layer (4) which is adjacent to the inner-sided side (5) of the outer layer and the heat-reflecting surface borders the air layer (10). According to the invention, the inner layer and the outer layer are anchored together due to a plurality of statically active anchoring elements such that an air layer (10) is formed between the inner layer and the outer layer, said air layer being adjacent, on the inner side, to the heat-reflecting layer (4) which is traversed by the statically active anchoring elements (9).
Abstract:
The invention relates to building blocks comprising at least a vertical through passage so that they can be connected to other building blocks by means of pegs and without the use of mortar. The invention further relates to methods of using said building blocks.
Abstract:
The invention consists of a cavity wall comprising an inner wall (1) , an outer wall comprising a brick wall (2) , a cavity (3) between the inner and outer walls, insulation slabs (4) mounted against the inner wall inside said cavity, a plurality of wall anchors (5) each having a first end mounted on the inner wall and a second end moulded into a mortar in the outer wall . The wall anchors bridge the cavity for fixing the insulation slabs to the inner wall and binding the outer wall to the inner wall . The wall anchors are formed in a metal sheet material with a substantially vertical mounting flange at its first end, an outer tip at the second end and a bridging portion between said two ends, wherein the bridging portion is provided with a plate-like portion (20) with projections (12) for gripping the insulation slabs on each side of an elongated portion (14) , wherein at least one longitudinal rib (16) is provided in the bridging portion, said rib projecting out of at least the elongated portion of the plate-like bridging portion.
