Abstract:
A stair system according to one illustrative embodiment comprises: a support body mountable in a wall and comprising a connecting region; a stair body; and a mounting apparatus. The mounting apparatus comprises: a connector connectable to the connecting region of the support body in any one of a plurality of different positions in the connecting region of the support body; and a holder configured to hold the stair body such that when the connector is connected to the connecting region of the support body, the stair body is spaced apart from the support body to permit a wall panel between the stair body and the support body. Wall assemblies comprising such stair systems are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Known staircases for providing access to buildings, particularly portable buildings where the height of the access door sill of the building above the ground level varies according to the particular location and can only normally be determined once the building has been installed and levelled, suffer from the disadvantage that they have to be custom-made and can only be produced once the building has been installed. The staircase (10) according to this invention consists of two spaced-apart support stringer assemblies (20) between which treads of steps are supported wherein each support stringer assembly (20) is constructed from sections (24) which are bolted together on site to form a support stringer assembly (20) of desired length and thus a staircase (10) of desired height to suite the particular location of the building.
Abstract:
There are provided inner stairs for a building which include a main landing (1) formed of a precast concrete plate and supported by two props (4) buried in a wall portion and exclusive jig-supports (5) removable therefrom prior to placing of concrete in a wall portion, an intermediate landing (2) formed and supported as well as the main landing (1) at a intermediate position between floors, and stair units (3) having wall-side and central strings (32, 34), treads (362) fixed in these strings and handrails provided with balusters, a bottom rail and the like. By using the inner stairs, an efficiency of works in a construction of the building can be improved by making removal of constructing material minimum, and a reduced term of construction and remarkable low cost thereof can be achieved by omitting the works of the construction and restraining an amount of material.
Abstract:
The invention relates to stairs for a device on which it is possible to walk or travel, especially a device for passing over a road or beneath a bridge which in need of repair. The inventive stairs have steps (1) and side beams (2). The steps (1) and/or the side beams (2) consist of sections of extruded aluminium profiles.
Abstract:
A reusable stair system may allow for access to a platform, for example, at the top of a ramp so that able people are not required to travel the entire distance of the ramp to reach the main platform. The reusable stair system can be easily assembled and disassembled, having a number of legs that are attached to adjacent stairs. Legs may have two attachment regions for two stairs on either side of each leg and one of the stairs being located at a greater height than the other stair. The desired height of the main platform at the top of the stair system will determine the number of legs and corresponding stairs that will be used.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A handrail or a swing gate for fall restraint equipment comprising an outer rail constructed from a single, continuous piece of tubular metal, a midrail constructed from a single, continuous piece of tubular metal, and a toeboard constructed from a single, continuous piece of sheet metal, where the outer rail is constructed to receive portions of the midrail and toeboard for an integral construction.
Abstract:
A post to be used in conjunction with a gangway or other fall restraint equipment where the post defines an aperture having an upper portion and a lower portion such that the upper portion is configured to allow a link of a chain to pass there through while the lower portion allows the link to pass through in one orientation but prevents the link from passing through in a second orientation traverse to the first orientation.
