Abstract: Gate which is arranged to be situated in a fence opening which is limited by upright fixed elements such as gateposts (1, 2). The gate, which essentially follows a straight line between the fixed elements, comprises a central operating element (9), which is pivotably connected with the ground along a horizontal axis, which is essentially parallel with said straight line. During closed condition of the gate, the element can occupy an upright position during the influence of spring forces. During opening of the gate, it can be laid down against the ground. In this manner, opening of the gate can take place by means of, for example, a vehicle being driven into the gate. From each of the fixed elements (1, 2), elastically stretchable links (10, 11) extend towards the operating element (9), which links form the gate (8) together with the operating element. They are arranged to exert said spring forces which hold the operating element in upright position. At the same time, they have such stretchability that it can be laid down against the ground.

Abstract: A gate assembly prevents keyless ingress into, and enables keyless egress from, a gated area. The gate assembly comprises a gate frame and a gate. The gate frame comprises rectangular or 360 degree frame structure for maintaining a planar gate- receiving area despite ground deformations and the like. The gate comprises rectangular gate structure that defines a planar frame-engaging area. The gate-receiving area is greater in magnitude than the frame-engaging area. The gate further comprises a state of the art interior push bar latch for enabling keyless egress, and state of the art keyed lock for preventing keyless ingress into the gated or secure area. Abstract: A boat gate system for controlling vessel access to a port or similar waterbody has a number of connected, floating Port Security Barrier ("PSB") segments. A remote latching and unlatching mechanism, combined with a powered mover mounted on one or more PSB segments, permits remote unlatching of the PSB segments; moving the PSB segments to a desired location (whether rotating same about a point, or moving a longer section laterally) so as to open the PSB, then moving the PSBs back to a closed position and latching same. Both the unlatching, movement, and latching are remotely controlled. Positional indicators, for example Global Positioning Systems or similar systems, are provided to monitor and assist in controlling PSB segment movement and unlatching, and movement of the PSB segments in a desired direction to a desired location.
