Abstract:
Pump A handoperated water pump comprising a pump body, a piston, ahandle at the upper end of the piston, avalve system connected to the pump body and comprising an inlet and an outlet, wherein the lower end of the piston is provided with a plateand an adjustable tensioner, to tension a piston seal located between the plateand the adjustable tensioner and wherein the adjustable tensioner comprises a spring.
Abstract:
A fluid pump operated by a lever (13). The lever is journalled to a pumpstand (14) by means of a number of elastic elements (18) positioned between noncircular surfaces (16, 17) of the lever and the pumpstand. The lever is connected to the pump rod (15) by means of a flexible band (21) cooperating with a curved surface (19) of the lever.
Abstract:
A muscle-powered water pump installation which includes a drive formation (12) supported for rotation about a drive formation rotational axis by at least one animal or human, a water pump (16) drivingly connected to the drive formation for pumping water from a water supply in response to rotation of the drive formation, and an auxiliary rotary power take-off drivingly connected to the drive formation for providing rotational power in response to rotation of the drive formation.
Abstract:
A pump, particularly intended for use in pumping water from bore holes in the developing countries, comprises a cylindrical casing (2), the interior of which is divided into first and second chambers (12, 14) by a tubular flexible membrane (16), and having inlet and outlet valves (8, 10) at either end thereof communicating with the interior of the first chamber (12). When the second chamber (14) is pressurised, the membrane (16) is deformed inwardly, the inlet valve (8) closes and the water contained in the first chamber (12) is forced out through the outlet valve (10). When the pressure is released, the outlet valve (10) closes and the inlet valve (8) opens and the first chamber (12) is refilled. The pump may be powered by hydraulic pressure using a manually operated piston or pneumatic pressure using a rotary compressor which is readily adaptable to a variety of energy sources.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a tooling system for maintaining hand pumps (1) for deep boreholes remarkable in that it consists of a winch (4) comprising means for attachment to the body (2) of the pump (1) and intended to be attached facing an inspection hatch (3) formed on said body (2) of the pump (1), a pulling rope (5) controlled by said winch (4) and carrying, at the end of same, a friction and stop gripping device (6), and a return wire (7) linked to said gripping device (6) and able to release the engagement of the gripping device (6). According to a first variation, the gripping device (6) is a weighted sliding knot. According to another variation, the gripping device (6) is a C-plate (60). The tooling system according to the invention allows pumps to be used in compliance with VLOM requirements.
