Abstract:
A liquid fuel combustion device (11) for domestic heating comprises a container (12) able to contain the liquid fuel (16) and having inside it a mixing chamber (14) in which the liquid fuel (16) is mixed with combustion air, adduction means (30) associated with the container (12), able to introduce inside the mixing chamber (14) a stream of combustion air (A) which is able to mix with the fuel (16), conveyor means (38), mounted on the container (12) and able to convey the fuel (16) mixed with the stream of air (A) from the mixing chamber (14) toward a combustion chamber (19). The combustion device comprises pre-heating means (28), able to pre-heat the liquid fuel (16) present in the mixing chamber (14) to a pre-determined temperature, lower than the boiling temperature of the liquid fuel (16), and ultrasound nebulization means (26) mounted in the mixing chamber (14) and able to nebulize the pre-heated fuel (16) in order to allow it to mix with the stream of air (A).
Abstract:
The invention provides a stove which includes a fuel tank 12 for storing a liquid hydrocarbon fuel 14 for combustion in the stove. A frame 16 made of sheet metal secures the tank 12 to a cooker portion 18 and permits feet 20 of a synthetic material such as PVC to be snapped into position to provide a stable base for the stove 10 when it stands on a surface such as a table or a counter. The tank 12 has in a central portion 22 thereof a ceramic porous element 24 made of a ceramic fibre mat which is spirally wound into a cylindrical shape with spaces so that the element 24 may retain a liquid hydrocarbon fuel such as ethanol. A burner 30 is secured in position above and in flow communication with the tank 12 with a cylindrical length 28 bridging the gap between the element 24 and the burner 30. A combustion chamber 40 is made of a base portion and an upper dished portion made of sheet metal 50, 52, the upper dished portion 52 having a conical, funnel-like, recessed portion 53 in which the apex of the cone or funnel is directly downwardly towards the tank 12 and has an opening in flow communication with the contents of tank 12.

This invention relates to an improved stove operable on low alcohol concentration comprising a fuel tank provided with a pump and a pressure relief valve connected to an inlet port characterized in a burner unit fitted over a nozzle assembly, a condensate collection pan positioned above said burner surrounded by a jacket, which supplies adequate air for combustion of fuel, a flame regulating valve below the nozzle and pressure regulating valve adjacent to the tank.
