Abstract:
Abstract:
An ice storage bin having a front wall, two side walls, a rear wall and a bottom wall. The front wall defines a top opening that is covered by a door. The front wall also has a recess wall that defines a recessed area in the front wall. This recessed area can accommodate a portable receptacle, such as a bucket, within the recessed area. The recessed area and the front wall define a lower opening for providing access to an interior of the ice storage bin. In this manner, ice from the interior of the ice storage bin may be directed by a user to the lower opening to transfer the ice to the receptacle rather than requiring the user to lift the ice out of the ice storage bin through the upper opening.
Abstract:
An ice portion control module is provided that includes an ice bin for storing ice having a base in the ice bin having one or more portion control compartments and one or more magnets associated with the one or more portion control compartments, the one or more portion control compartments having an interior volume to hold a predetermined portion of the ice, an actuator which moves the one or more portion control compartments between a fill position wherein the one or more portion control compartments holds the ice, and a dispense position wherein the predetermined portion of the ice is dispensed out of the one or more portion control compartments, and a sensor outside of the ice bin that detects the one or more magnets.
Abstract:
The machine for the production and distribution of ice particles has a frame comprising a refrigerator group evaporator and forming means for forming ice particles. The machine further has a distributing device for distributing ice particles and comprising a closed housing for storing ice particles, the distributing device is located outside of the frame.
Abstract:
An ice dispensing system includes a rotatable barrel (3) having an opening (4); an input chute (2) having a first end coupled to an ice making machine (1) and a second end in communication with the opening (4) when the barrel is in a first position; an output chute (14) in communication with the opening (4) when the barrel (3) is in a second position; a containment system (12) positioned around a portion of the body of the barrel (3); and a drive system (5) coupled to the barrel (3) for rotating the barrel (3). The opening (4) has a geometry and size (15) that directs the ice and captures a regulated amount of the ice during rotation between the first position and the second position. The regulated amount of ice is then dispensed into the output chute (14) when the barrel (3) reaches the second position.
Abstract:
The machine for the production of ice, comprises a tubular pipe to form the ice, covered by a refrigerator group evaporator, and having an auger inside to move the ice towards the delivery outlet, associated with a ring nut having a plurality of drawing holes arranged angularly spaced along a circumference, the delivery outlet of the tubular pipe is associated with the terminal inlet part of conveyor means of ice, having a substantially upward axial extension and a terminal outlet part positioned at a level substantially higher than the top of the machine.
Abstract:
An ice-bagging apparatus that provides an establishment with the ability to automatically and expeditiously produce, bag and store bags of ice, thus maintaining a desired supply of bagged ice and eliminating conventional methods of manual ice- bagging and reducing the likelihood of unwanted bridging of the ice.
Abstract:
The bags are made from a flexible tube of plastic material (2) by thermowelding of its lower and upper edges and by cutting and separation of the filled bag from the remainder of the flexible tube. The machine has producing means (3) for the production of ice cubes (10); means for storing and filling the bags, said means comprising a vertical and hollow rigid tube (13) introduced inside said flexible tube and remaining in compressed conditions while forming multiple folds; means for closing the filled bags, said means being arranged under and at one side with respect to the lower extremity of the rigid tube and comprising two superimposed thermowelding elements (18) and a cutting member (19) to cut the flexible tube; means for transporting the filled bags, said means comprising a carriage (20) displaceably mounted on conveyor chains (21); means for storing the filled bags, said means comprising a freezer cabinet (37); and means for dispensing the filled bags.
Abstract:
An ice bagger (10) comprises an ice maker (11, 12), an ice bagging unit (13) which includes an automatic sanitation system (120), and a merchandiser (14). The ice maker delivers particulate ice into a hopper (15, 16) housed within the ice bagging unit. The ice bagging unit (13) includes a bag carrier (39) which retrieves a bag from a bag supply (24) and opens the bag underneath a delivery chute (19) communicating with the hopper via an auger (18). A scale (65) supports the bag during its filling to measure the weight of the ice delivered into the bag from the hopper. A heating element (99) then activates to seal the bag closed. Once the bag has been closed, the scale pivots to deliver the sealed bag of ice into the merchandiser while the sealer arm raises to its original position. Additionally, the ice bagger further comprises a sanitizing system (120) which periodically activates to sanitize the hopper.
