Abstract:
Disclosed is a device for inserting a continuous tape (12). A system comprises a first module (60) and a second module (62). Two traction means (66, 68) can be connected to one another at the interface (64) and can be detached again. A gripper device (78) transports a continuous tape from the input section (70) of the first module (60) to the output section (72) of the second module (62) when the traction means (66, 68) are connected. The invention also relates to a combined monitoring device (160).
Abstract:
A laser printer paper handling system employing separately controllable traction rollers comprising a registration roller (10) and a fuser pressure roller (36) which are separable from their associated pressure roller (22) and fuser roller (44), respectively, allow separate engagement of the print paper during a print cycle. The registration roller (10) engages the pressure roller (22) and frictionally feeds the paper past a photoconductive drum (29). As the leading edge of the paper approaches, the fuser roller (44) is engaged by the fuser pressure roller (36) and the registration roller (10) is desengaged, causing the paper to be frictionally fed exclusively by the fuser roller (44). Operation of the rocker arm (12) supporting the registration roller (10) and the carrier bracket (38) for the fuser pressure roller (36) and paper platen (26) which carries a corona transfer unit (30) for activating the photoconductive drum (29) through a multi-surface cam (16) provides position control for the system elements.

Abstract:
A compact full-color media web electrographic printer and method of using the printer includes an automatic web feeding and cutting registration apparatus for producing closely spaced printouts. The registration system includes a registration roll pair (18, 19), a feed roll pair (12, 13) for feeding the web to the nip of the registration roll pair, a sensor system of feedback sensors (14, 17, 20, 40) for sensing the media web, a cutter (63) for cutting the media web, and a processor for receiving the sensor feedback and accurately controlling the feeding and cutting of the media web so as to produce the desired spaced printouts.
Abstract:
A device for transporting print media (12) in printing or copying apparatus has rotary transport elements (36) arranged in a print media transport channel at a distance from the print medium (12) that act as feeding aids for an automatic paper feeding device. Friction elements (40) designed as striking elements with friction surfaces (41) and arranged at the periphery of the transport elements (36) are bound to the axis bolt of rotation (38) of the transport element (36) so that they can swivel. When the transport elements (36) are rotated, the friction elements (40) are brought by the centrifugal force out of a rest position, against a restoring force, and their friction surfaces (41) are brought into frictional contact with the print medium (12) and transport the same. When the transport element (36) is at a standstill, the friction elements (40) release the print medium (12).
Abstract:
A printing device (100,101) has a first print engine(103, 303, 603, 703), a second print engine (105, 305, 605, 705), and a buffer device (107, 307, 609, 709, 711) disposed between the first (103, 303, 603, 703) and second print engines (105, 305, 605, 705). The buffer (107, 307, 609, 709, 711) is configured to store a variable amount of web substrate (106, 301, 713) received from the first print engine (103, 303, 603, 703) and feed the substrate (106, 301, 713) to the second print engine (105, 305, 605, 705).
Abstract:
Abstract:
In one example of the disclosure,a first print engine is caused to print a first image in a first set of sectors of a substrate. A second print engine is caused to print a second image in a second set of sectors of the substrate. The second print engine is caused to print a cover-up image over an incidence of the first image printed by the first print engine. The second print engine is caused to print a calibration image upon the cover-up image.
Abstract:
In an example, an apparatus includes a marking assembly to print a mark on a web, a printing assembly to apply an image to the web, and a controller to detect the mark and to control a web transport parameter based on the detection of the mark.
