Abstract:
A switch which includes a support, an electrically conductive component on the support, a biasing member, a conductive arm which is mounted to the support for movement under the action of the biasing member from a first position at which the arm makes physical contact with the component to a second position at which the arm is not in physical contact with the component, and an electrical terminal which is connected to the conductive arm.
Abstract:
An electrical contact assembly is disclosed comprising a bracket having at least first and second cavities located on opposite ends of the bracket and an opening extending through the bracket between the first and second cavities. A retention member is arranged to be mounted within the bracket opening with a first portion of the retention member extending outward from the first cavity and a second portion of the retention member extending outward from the second cavity. Each first and second portion terminates in a head end. First and second helix-shaped electrical contacts are positioned about a respective retention member first and second portion and are compressively retained between a respective and associated head end and bracket cavity.
Abstract:
An electrical contact device for controlling operation of an aluminum processing bath includes an electrically insulating body and a first bore having a first diameter. The first bore opens into a through second bore having a second diameter smaller than the first diameter. The second bore opens into a third bore having a third diameter greater than the first and second diameters. A fastener received in the body includes a shank having a male threaded portion and a male threaded head. A conductive biasing element has a connecting end engaged with the male threaded head. The connecting end and the male threaded head are slidably received in the first bore, and the shank is slidably received in the second bore. The male threaded portion extends into the third bore. A nut positioned in the third bore engages the male threaded portion coupling the fastener and tubular body.
Abstract:
A small switch having an easy-to-use push button (2) with a long stroke and a high positioning accuracy and capable of reducing a cost, wherein a sector-shaped shaft (17) as a first projected part formed on a circular second projected part (19) provided on both side faces of the push button (2) is fitted into a semi-circular hole (16) provided in a body (1) and the second projected part (19) is fitted into a recessed part (20) provided in the inner surface of the body (1) and the semi-circular hole (16), and the push button (2) is rotated about the center (13) of the shaft (17) until the wall surface (17a) of the shaft (17) abuts on the end edge of the semi-circular hole (16), whereby, since the portion of the body (1) near the end edge of an opening can be used for holding the pivot of the push button (2), the necessity of fixing hardware is eliminated, and the stroke of the push button (2) can be increased by fitting the shaft (17) of the push button (2) into the semi-circular hole (16) to form a support shaft and reducing the opening angle of the shaft (17).
Abstract:
An electric contact switch, in particular a micro-switch for motor vehicles, has a housing (1) that carries connection contacts (4) and contains a contact element (5). An actuating element (6) mounted on the housing (1) has a switching lever (13) that acts on the contact element (5). In order to create a small-size contact switch, the contact element (5) has at least one resting branch (11) that is supported on a connection contact (4) and at least one contacting branch (12) that recalls the actuating element (6) and acts upon connection contacts (4) that extend approximately perpendicular to the contacting branch (12).
Abstract:
An electrical contactor has a removable coil comprising a contactor housing including a cavity. A pair of fixed coil terminals are mounted to the contactor housing proximate the cavity. A removable coil is removably mountable in the cavity. A pair of coil terminal clips are mounted to the coil. The fixed coil terminals make electrical contact with the coil terminal clips when the removable coil is inserted in the cavity.

Abstract:
A switch assembly (10) particularly suitable for electrical keyboard applications includes a pair of wire conducting members (14, 16) disposed in substantially collinear relationship on a supporting base (12). A pair of switch contact surfaces (66) project radially outward from the circumference of the wire conducting members (14, 16). In one embodiment, a cylindrical or tubular contactor member (68) surrounds conducting members (14, 16) and is spaced from and in facing relationship with the contact surfaces (66). The contactor member (68) is a closely-wound electrically conductive wire. The contactor member (68) is supported in spaced apart position by a resilient sealing sleeve or tube (70) which encloses the end portions includig the contact surfaces (66) of the wire conducting members (14, 16). A rubber-like spring member (18, 72) moves the sealing tube (70) and contactor member (68) into engagement with the contact surfaces (66).
Abstract:
A light device is provided that includes a light source and electrical circuitry for supplying electrical power to the light source. The light device also includes a housing having first and second ends and a hollow interior defining a compartment for holding a power source. The housing comprises a woven fiber thermoset composite. The housing is made by applying woven fibers to a mandrel and impregnating the woven fibers with an epoxy and curing the epoxy impregnated woven fibers to form the thermoset composite housing. An electrical interconnect is provided within the housing having first and second resilient contacts for providing an electrical connection between the power source and the light source.
