Abstract:
An antenna system is provided in a portable electronics device having a printed circuit board assembly. The antenna system includes a first antenna and a second balanced antenna provided on the printed circuit board assembly. The first antenna is fed from a portion of the printed circuit board assembly such that a ground plane of the printed circuit board assembly serves as a counterpoise for the first antenna. The second balanced antenna has dipole ends configured and oriented to generally minimize coupling to the ground plane of the printed circuit board assembly to increase isolation between the first antenna and the second balanced antenna.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a broadband lossless dipole antenna which is supplied at two supply points ( M1, M2, S1, S2 ) which are symmetrically positioned along the length L of the antenna and at such a distance from each other that _d_ = 0.37 ± 0.04.
Abstract:
A dipole antenna assembly may include a first tubular dipole element and a coaxial antenna feed extending through a proximal end of the first tubular dipole element. The coaxial antenna feed may have an inner conductor, an outer conductor, and a dielectric therebetween. The inner conductor may extend outwardly beyond a distal end of the first tubular dipole element. The outer conductor may be coupled to the distal end of the first tubular dipole element. The dipole antenna assembly may further include a second tubular dipole element with a proximal end being adjacent the distal end of the first tubular dipole element, and being coupled to the inner conductor. The second tubular dipole element may include first and second tubular segments and an electrical conductor extending through the first and second tubular sections and being coupled thereto at both the proximal and distal ends.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a capacitive grounded RF coaxial cable to airstrip transition which comprises a conductive ground plane, an insulating gasket, a reflector plate and an insulating fixing component. The conductive ground plane, the insulating gasket and the reflector plate are attached uniformly and tightly in sequence and fixed together by the insulating fixing component. The outer surface of the conductive ground plane is connected conductively with the outer conductor of the RF coaxial cable. Preferably, the conductive ground plane is a metal plate and the insulating gasket is a plastic gasket. The capacitive grounded RF coaxial cable to airstrip transition further comprises at least one perforation penetrating the conductive ground plane, the insulating gasket and the reflector plate in sequence. The insulating fixing component includes at least one insulating rivet and at least one conductive supporting piece is arranged on the outer surface of the conductive ground plane. The present invention further provides an antenna comprising this transition. Therefore the present invention is designed skillfully, simple in structure, simple and convenient to assemble, has a low cost, avoids metals' direct contact to obviate the difficulty of maintaining the constant surface pressure, and realizes the grounding without producing third-order intermodulation, to completely eliminate unstable factors, and therefore is suitable for large-scale popularization.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an environmentally friendly chaff dipole, a chaff manufactured using same, and a chaff cartridge having a chaff loaded therein, and more particularly, to an environmentally friendly chaff dipole including basalt fiber and an aluminum thin film coated around the basalt fiber, to a chaff manufactured using same, and to a chaff cartridge having a chaff loaded therein. According to the present invention, a metal thin film can be easily coated even on fiber of small diameter to couple a large number of chaff dipoles and enable wide scattering of chaffs during dispersion in the sky without adhering to or becoming tangled with one another, so as to enable the manufacture of a chaff having a maximized radar cross-section and which does not contaminate the human body and the environment. Thus, when chaffs are dispersed in the sky, a wide range of wavelengths for scanning radar can be achieved.
Abstract:
An antenna for broadcast and reception of electromagnetic waves in which all or a portion of the radiating structure (6) is formed from coaxial cable (2) or a functional equivalent thereof in which an annular opening (7) exists, allowing alternating electrical current to propagate onto the outer surface (8) of said radiative structure, thereby generating electromagnetic radiation.
Abstract:
A device for processing hydrocarbon resources in a subterranean formation having a laterally extending wellbore therein may include a radio frequency (RF) antenna configured to be positioned within the laterally extending wellbore, and at least one feedback conductor configured to be positioned along the laterally extending wellbore. The device may also include an RF circuit configured to supply RF power to the hydrocarbon resources via the RF antenna. The RF circuit may be configured to supply the RF power at a frequency tracking a resonant frequency of the RF antenna and the RF circuit and based upon the at least one feedback conductor.
Abstract:
Antennas that can transceive signals in an elliptically-polarized, omni-directional manner are described. In an example embodiment, an antenna comprises two elements proximally located to each other at a predetermined distance, such that two orthogonally- polarized omni-directional electromagnetic waves are tranceived. In a further example, the two elements are supported by an internal printed circuit, the printed circuit including conductors configured to supply a feed to the elements, which may be contained within a radome. Alternate embodiments comprise a plurality of elements of varying lengths.
