Techniques for compensating for self-induced interference in a small cell base station (115) are provided. The techniques include detecting control signals (145) from a neighboring base station (140) associated with a wireless communication network, the control signals (145) being transmitted by the neighboring base station at predetermined intervals, and compensating for self-induced interference caused by a transmitter of the small cell base station (115) transmitting during the predetermined intervals in which control signals are received from the neighboring base station(140), the transmitter of the small cell base station is transmitting data during the predetermined intervals.
Abstract:
A method of a wireless communication device for a cellular communication system is disclosed. According to the method, a signal comprising a first known signal sequence and a second known signal sequence for each of one or more first cells of the cellular communication system is received, and the first and second known signal sequences of each of the one or more first cells are detected based on the received signal. For at least one of the one or more first cells, one of the first known signal sequence, the second known signal sequence, and a combination of the first and second known signal sequences is selected for channel estimation. The selection is based on the detected first and second known signal sequences of the one or more cells. Channel estimation of the at least one of the one or more first cells is performed based on the signal sequence selection. In some examples, the method may further comprise performing interference cancellation of at least one of the first and second known signal sequences of the at least one of the one or more first cells based on the channel estimation and detecting one or more second cells of the cellular communication system after the interference cancellation. Corresponding computer program product, arrangement and wireless communication device are also disclosed.

The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more specifically to a method and an apparatus for inter-cell interference coordination for a transmission point group. The method for carrying out an interference coordination in a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a step for exchanging interference coordination messages between transmission point groups, wherein one transmission group comprises a plurality of transmission points, and the interference coordination message can comprise interference coordination information about each individual transmission point unit within the one transmission point group, and interference coordination information about the overall transmission point unit within the one transmission point group.

셀 디스커버리 방법이 개시된다. 매크로 셀과 적어도 하나의 소형 셀이 중첩되어 배치된 네트워크에서 매크로 셀이 사용하는 캐리어 주파수와 소형 셀이 사용하는 캐리어 주파수가 서로 다른 경우, 소형 셀이 매크로 셀이 사용하는 캐리어 주파수를 이용하여 디스커버리 신호를 전송하거나, 소형 셀은 매크로 셀이 사용하는 캐리어 주파수와 다른 소형 셀의 캐리어 주파수를 사용하여 디스커버리 신호를 전송한다.
