Abstract:
A a system for playing audio recordings includes a transmitter configured to separately encode and transmit each of a plurality of components of an audio recording to a plurality of receivers each configured to receive and decode one of the encoded components of the audio recording. In another embodiment, a method for playing audio recordings includes encoding each of a plurality of components of an audio recording, assigning each of the plurality of components to a specific receiver, transmitting each of the encoded components to the assigned receiver, decoding each of the encoded components and outputting each of the decoded components.
Abstract:
A communication system has head wearable devices arranged for wireless communication in an operating environment. A first head wearable device (100) has a camera (120) for capturing an environment image and a first processor (110) arranged for detecting a further head wearable device (150) based on a viewing direction of a wearer of the first head wearable device. Then the further head wearable device is identified at an operational distance based on a remotely detectable visual property and a communication session is established between the first head wearable device and the further head wearable device. The further head wearable device has a further processor (160) for establishing the communication session. Effectively the communication session is initiated based on eye contact of the wearers of the head wearable devices. Gestures of the wearers may be detected to initiate or define the communication session.
Abstract:
A communication apparatus includes a communication unit configured to communicate with an external apparatus, and a control unit having a plurality of display modes including a single-display mode of displaying a single content on a single screen of a display unit, and a multi-display mode of displaying a plurality of contents on the single screen of the display unit, wherein, if the communication unit starts communication with the external apparatus in a state where the display mode is the multi-display mode, the control unit displays the plurality of contents on the single screen of the display unit and receives a selection of a transmission target after establishment of the communication with the external apparatus, and wherein, if the communication unit starts the communication with the external apparatus in a state where the display mode is the single-display mode, the control unit does not receive the selection of the transmission target after the establishment of the communication with the external apparatus.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A location of a wireless device relative to a vehicle is determined using received data. Data may be received from the vehicle sensors. Data may also be received from the wireless device sensors of a wireless device. The presence of one or more persons may be determined using received data. A user-to-wireless device association may be detected based, at least in part, upon the presence of one or more persons in the vehicle and the location of the wireless device relative to the vehicle.
Abstract:
Described herein are techniques related to managing mobile applications ("apps") of a mobile device based, at least in part, upon the determined location of the device. This Abstract is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.
