A portable telephone (100) with a camera gives a warning to capture an image in a lateral position when a specific imaging mode is selected. A television (400) capable of simultaneously displaying images according to the signals from two different signal sources sets its display mode to a two-screen display mode and displays the image according to the input signal inputted into an external signal input section on one of the two screens.

A receiving unit (101) of a print data generating apparatus (100), which enables a printing that reflects user's preferences even in a digital broadcasting environment, receives and modulates digital broadcast waves. A video/data separating unit (102) separates a signal received from the receiving unit (101) into a video packet, an audio packet and a data packet that includes print information. A print information storing unit (104) is a RAM for storing print information, or the like, and reads the print information from the data packet received from the video/data separating unit (102), and stores it. A print information converting unit (108) reads the print information stored in the print information storing unit (104) and image data stored in an image storing unit (106), updates the print information by inserting, into the print information, image information representing the image data, based on the read-out print information and image data, and transmits the updated print information to a print information notifying unit (109). The print information notifying unit (109) transmits the received print information to a printing apparatus (120).
Abstract:
A multiple integrated machine system (hereafter referred to as "MIMS") capable of performing as at least two or more digital machines. The MIMS comprises two or more digital machine elements controlled by the same operating system software. Each of the digital machine elements includes hardware portions and software portions and each digital machine element is capable of performing as part of one of the digital machines. Each of the digital machine elements is different. A digital machine element grouping control unit is also provided. The digital machine element grouping control unit automatically and operatively connects predetermined digital machine elements in a first combination to form a first digital machine upon receipt of a first digital machine selection, and automatically and operatively connects predetermined digital machine elements in a second combination to form a second digital machine upon receipt of a second digital machine selection. The first combination of predetermined digital machine elements is different from the second combination of digital machine elements. A plurality of subgroup function control units are provided with each subgroup function control unit being associated with one of the first digital machine and the second digital machine for selecting for use one or more function modes to be performed by the first digital machine and the second digital machine. Four different types of MIMS (a desktop MIMS, a kiosk MIMS, a mobile MIMS and a hospitality MIMS) are disclosed herein with the multiple digital machines in each type of MIMS being selectable for different functional purposes.

A film video player for sensing color film to produce a color vodeo signal includes a single frame charge coupled device (CCD) image sensor (246) having a pattern of color filter elements (1202, 1204, 1206). The single frame CCD image sensor is flash illuminated with an image of the color film during the vertical retrace intervals of a standard video signal. The flash illuminated single frame CCD image sensor enables high resolution to be achieved with a single chip image sensor. To reduce readout clock frequencies, the single frame image sensor is provided with a pair of parallel output registers (301, 303).

A system and method for remotely reproducing content wherein content to be reproduced is transmitted to an external device. If new content are obtained while the content is currently being transmitted, the transmission of the content is stopped and the new content is transmitted to the external device. Accordingly, content from a device may be reproduced in another device, and if new content is obtained, the new content may be reproduced first.
