Abstract:
A system that enables users to conveniently and intuitively send email messages that automatically publish information in appropriate shared content sources. The system allows users to send email messages to shared sources based on keywords within text entered as destination email addresses. The shared sources register interest in certain topics by registering keywords with the email server system. An email server program then sends the email messages it receives for publication to the appropriate shared source(s) based on matching text in the destination address fields of the received messages with the keywords registered by the shared sources.
Abstract:
A method and system for managing documents, where the system includes a document manager server connected to image processing devices and to applications via a network. The document manager server receives identification information from the image processing devices and transmits information relating to network applications to the image processing devices. This information is then used to change the functionality of the image processing device.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A system and/or methodology to track and organize database application data in response to a delete, insert or update procedure. More specifically, a system and/or methodology that employs a version-based retention and linkage approach with respect to triggering implementations is provided.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a system and method for managing software updates. More specifically, the present invention is directed to a system and method for facilitating the selection and implementation of software updates while minimizing the bandwidth and processing resources required to select and implement the software updates. In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, a software update service controls access to software updates stored on servers. In accordance with another aspect, the software update service synchronizes with client machines to identify applicable updates.
Abstract:
A system and a method are disclosed for synchronizing folders between one or more layers of folders. It includes selecting layers to link together, comparing folders in the selected layers using an immutable identifier, parsing the folders of each of the selected layers into fields, comparing the fields of parsed folders of the selected layers, and determining whether to synchronize the folders of the selected layers based on conflict rules triggered in response to the comparison of the fields of the parsed folders. Also disclosed is a system and method of merging two or more folders in a network into a single folder. It includes comparing entries between folders to identify duplicate entries, grouping the identified duplicate entries in each folder, generating a matrix from the duplicates grouping and assigning each matrix entry a value, and matching the matrix entries based on the assigned values to determine an extent to merge an identified duplicate entry.
Abstract:
A modular data and storage management system. The system includes a time variance interface that provides for storage into a storage media of data that is received over time. The time variance interface of the modular data and storage management system provides for retrieval, from the storage media, of an indication of the data corresponding to a user specified date. The retrieved indication of the data provides a user with an option to access specific information relative to the data, such as content of files that are included in the data.
Abstract:
Content, such as a document, in a native format and modality are acquired for preservation. A plurality of interfaces, specific to the type of content, receive the content to be preserved. The received content is indexed and preserved on a preservation media for an indefinite or predetermined amount of time. The media is specially selected such that preservation for an indefinite or predetermined amount of time is possible.
Abstract:
A hierarchical arrangement of hyperlinked, structured documents collectively provide a table of contents (TOC) to the subject, which may be a statutory body of law such as the United States Code (Figure 5). Sections of the Code are stored in associated with temporal information such as date of enactment, effective date and termination date. A researcher can then access the version of the Code in effect at any particular time. Other information stored in association with a part of a body of law may include historical information, commentary, annotations, descriptive information, legislative history, references, and/or links to laws, judicial decisions and other information.
Abstract:
A system and method for delegating administration tasks (ABC) comprising determining at least one capability (C) for a first user (1) based on evaluation of at least one role rule and delegating the at least one capability to a second user (3).
