Abstract:
A drape element includes a sheet of flexible, non-magnetic material having opposed first and second longitudinal sheet edges, a longitudinal centerline toward which is defined an inward direction and away from which is defined an outward direction, and a first longitudinal pocket disposed proximate the first longitudinal sheet edge. A first straight magnetic wire is disposed in the longitudinal direction within an inward longitudinal portion of the first longitudinal pocket, and a first alternating sequence of magnets and non-magnetic spacers is disposed within an outward longitudinal portion of the first longitudinal pocket. Each of the magnets has opposed first and second magnetic poles, with a respective first magnetic pole of each of the magnets being disposed in contact with the first straight magnetic wire.
Abstract:
A curtain and a band-like core material therefore, wherein a natural and permanent drapes (pleat) are applied to a curtain cloth without pleating nor fold-forming. A band-like core material, formed by imparting wave forms by heating to a band cloth material formed of thermosetting synthetic fibers, is attached to the lower edge of a curtain cloth over the almost entire width. The wave forms of the band-like core material can almost permanently form beautiful drapes in the longitudinal direction of the curtain cloth when the curtain is unfolded or folded. When the curtain is to be washed, the band-like core material is detached from the curtain cloth, and after washed, it is attached again to the curtain cloth.
Abstract:
The present disclosure includes a retrofit magnet strip kit and method for mating the vertical edges of two adjacent drapes (110, 120), the kit comprising a first magnet strip (200) and a second magnet strip (200). Each magnet strip (200) comprises a non-magnetic substrate (201) with two major surfaces, wherein the thickness of the substrate (201) is less than 1 cm, the width of the substrate (201) is between 1 cm and 8 cm and the length of the substrate (201) is greater than 20 centimeters (cm), and at least two magnets (210, 220) attached to a first major surface of the substrate (201). The two magnets (210, 220) are spaced apart from each other, and a first edge of the first magnet is at least 5 cm from the nearest edge of the second magnet. The first magnet (210) comprises magnetic material with maximum energy 3 product least 200 kj/m. When the first and second magnet strips are inserted into the vertical hems of two adjacent drapes (110, 120), the magnet strips (210, 220) are attracted to each other and cause the vertical edges of the two adjacent drapes (110, 120) to mate with each other such that the first magnet on the first magnet strip and the first magnet on the second strip mate with each other, and the second magnet on the first magnet strip and the second magnet on the second magnet strip mate with each other.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A curtain stay (3) to prevent the edge of a curtain (1) which is exposed to fluid or vapor from curling inward and sticking to itself thus preventing mildew from forming and/or preventing reduction of the effective closure width of the curtain (1). The edge stay (3) in one embodiment is a stiffened longitudinal rib member (3) disposed in the curtain (1) adjacent to a lower vertical side edge of the curtain (1) and extending parallel to a horizontal edge of the curtain (1).
Abstract:
Curtain hooks (1a) which can be guided e.g. in a strip-like curtain rail with an adhesion or counter-adhesion element (7a, 7b) which is shaped to bear against a complementary adhesion or counter-adhesion element of an immediately adjacent hook (1b) and for automatic securing to the element surface (10) thereof.
Abstract:
A hembar (140) may define a front portion and a rear portion configured to slidably engage each other. The front portion (160) and the rear portion (170), when slidably engaged, may define a slot (180) configured to receive a piece of fabric (120). The front portion and the rear portion may be configured to clamp the piece of fabric within the slot. The front portion and the rear portion may be configured such that a width of the slot is adjustable. The front portion may define a first attachment surface (162) and the rear portion may define a second attachment surface (172). The first attachment surface may define a rib (164). The second attachment surface may define a groove (174) configured to receive the rib when the front portion is slidably engaged with the rear portion such that the piece of fabric is clamped within the slot.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed toward an apparatus and curtain assembly for use with a window enclosure. An embodiment of the invention comprises at least one strip removably applied along an edge of the curtain and to the window enclosure so as to secure the curtain thereto.
