摘要: A fin blade for free diving or swimming or scuba diving is described, which has a cross section at one end angled about a yaw, or longitudinal, axis relative to the cross section at the other end. The arrangement is such that a lateral line at a proximal end is disposed at an angle relative to a lateral line at a portion spaced from the proximal end. The advantage is that the fin blade is more closely aligned with the ergonomic complexities of the human body, such that during finning the fin blade provides greater comfort and/or propulsion. A fin blade is also described which includes a reinforced zone in one portion of the fin blade, such that one portion of the blade at the distal end is relatively increased in flexibility to provide a catch zone at one portion of the distal end of the fin blade.

摘要: A swim fin for wearing on a foot features lateral and medial side fins which do not extend further forwardly past a front end of a shoe portion of the swim fin, which forms a receptacle for receiving the foot. Also, the side fins are spaced from a sole of the shoe portion and located closer to an upper of the shoe portion than the sole.

摘要: A composite dive fin assembly for a user swimming in a body of water having primary, secondary, and lateral portions which each define corresponding oppositely disposed propulsion surfaces. The primary, secondary, and lateral portions also each having a corresponding propulsion edge. The primary, secondary, and lateral propulsion surfaces cooperatively oriented to displace an amount of water over a corresponding one of the primary, secondary, and lateral propulsion edges when the composite dive fin assembly is moved in the body of water in which the user is swimming. The primary, secondary, and lateral propulsion surfaces are cooperatively configured to displace a greater amount of water over corresponding propulsion edges relative to previously known dive fins while reducing the resistive forces while displacing water, allowing a user to swim further and/or faster with the less effort.

摘要: The invention relates to an underwater self-propulsion device to be worn on the feet, that comprises a "fitting" portion (A) to which is attached a "reactor" portion (B), the latter including a "channelling structure" (1) that comprises two "walls" mounted vertically opposite each other and separated by a limited gap in the axis of which the "fitting portion" (A) is provided. The space between the "walls" having a certain "height" receives the "reactive volumetric assembly" that comprises "plastic stops" (2) connecting the "walls" together. The actuation of the device results in the twisting and in the reaction of the "plastic stops" (2) clamped in the "channelling structure" (1), which generates an acceleration of the water flow sufficient for propelling the user. The device is particularly intended for underwater sports, and for sea rescue or rescue along the coast.

摘要: A swim fin (1) has a foot enclosing portion (3) having an enclosure (4) for retaining a user's foot therein, an inner side blade portion (5) and an outer side blade portion (6). The side blade portions (5, 6) extend from respective opposite sides of the foot enclosing portion (3). The widest extent of the swim fin (1) is defined between the outermost points of the inner and outer side blade portions (5, 6).
