Abstract:
A device (1) for launching small objects, in particular balls or pellets, consisting of a standing part (2), of a launching part (3) rotatably mounted to the standing part (2), and an elastic element (8) for storing energy during the rotation of the launching part (3) in one direction and for releasing energy during the rotation of the launching part (3) and launching the object in the opposite direction. The launching part (3) is formed by a tension arm (4) and a launch arm (5), wherein the mutually adjacent ends of the tension arm (4) and the launch arm (5) are provided with a means for coupling the rotational movement of the tension arm (4) and the launch arm (5), and at least one of the arms (4, 5) is connected with an elastic element (8) for storing energy during the movement of the averted ends of the arms (4, 5) towards each other into the tension position, in which the arms (4, 5) basically form the shape of a letter "V" and for releasing the stored energy during the return movement of the arms (4, 5) to the resting position.
Abstract:
A game that uses a source of compressed gas, such as compressed air, to provide gas to move a play object across a play surface. The compressed gas source is capable of providing compressed gas to jets in communication with the play surface for directing the gas to move the play object across the play surface. A triggering device allows the player to select one or more jets and selectively trigger the flow of gas from a selected jet.
Abstract:
A ballgame, especially a football game, comprising player figures (2, 6, 7), a ball (21), a goal (1), possibly other equipment for setting up a playing area and other equipment for use in connection with the game, where at least some of the figures are equipped with spring-loaded joints in order to simulate kicking the ball. For each person participating in the game, the game comprises a player figure in the form of a field player (7), with a spring-loaded leg (9), which is jointed in the area of the knee joint and can be pivoted back and forward in the vertical plane in a pendulum movement depending on the spring's force when the leg is pulled back. The toe portion of the shooting figure's (7) foot is designed in a rounded, especially hemispherical form, or with different angled areas and/or the foot is rotatable at the foot joint in both lateral directions. The coaction between the tension which is provided by pulling back the player figure's leg and the angle of the point of impact at the toe cause the ball to be kicked in a desired direction and with a specific force.

Abstract:
A toy having three bobs on a string where the middle bob slides. A low moment of inertia of the middle bob is desirable because it minimizes tangling of the string about the middle bob and produces smooth, tactile-appealing orbits. Each bob has a pair of mated throughbore pieces sandwiching a central metal weight and an equatorial bag stuffed with low-density pellets. Concave sections (in profile on a plane along the polar axis) of the throughbore occupy a substantial portion of the length of the throughbore to take best advantage of the torques produced by the string by focusing the tension of the string at the mouths of the throughbore. The concave sections also reduce the volume occupied by the bag, thereby reducing moment of inertia. Additionally, hollows in the concave regions of the throughbore pieces further reduce the moment of inertia.
Abstract:
Disclosed are gaming machines, including related methods, apparatus, and systems, including computer program products, implementing and using techniques for providing a game of chance. Peripheral devices, such as a bill acceptor and ticket printer, are consolidated in a central region of the gaming machine, behind a moveable door of the machine. Doors of the machine, including a door having a display, are moveable in directions along a longitudinal axis of the machine between open and closed positions. An adjustable button panel is moveable to a plurality of positions along the longitudinal axis, independent of the moveable doors. An array of networked displays on one or more gaming machines are controlled to simultaneously output lighting patterns, including synchronized patterns, associated with various events. Designated lighting patterns can also be output on light borders disposed around groups of buttons and other input devices on the button panel. A player interface is coupled to receive player input for setting parameters defining the audio and video presentation of game data on the machine. Contributing to the audio presentation, one or more speakers situated in an upper region of the cabinet are oriented at a downward angle.
Abstract:
A toy figure is shaped as a golf player (1) with a body consisting of a head (2), a torso (3), arms (4, 5) and legs (6, 7), a recess being provided in the body in which the arms (4, 5) are held so as to swivel when a pin (22) is actuated, the hands being linked to the arms and having a recess (8) for receiving a racket. In order to improve the operation and appearance of the toy figure, the recess defines a plane (25) which extends downwards from the body and parallel to which the pin (22) and arms (4, 5) are arranged. A disk (20) is secured in the recess and rotatively coupled to the arms and to the pin (22).
