Abstract: A filter element assembly (10) is disclosed comprising: a filter element (11) for location in a housing (12) of a filter (14), comprising a wall (15) of a filtration medium which defines a hollow space (16), for a gas stream to flow from the space through the wall, the filtration medium including a filtration layer (18), and a drainage layer (20) located outside the filtration layer, first (22) and second (24) end caps at opposite ends of the wall, one including a port (26) for a gas stream which communicates with the space; and a drainage promoter (56) comprising a fin (58) which can be fitted to the filter element so that it extends at least part way along the element, and compresses the drainage layer along at least part of its length, to promote drainage of liquid which has collected in the drainage layer.

The mounting system may include a quick attach attachment member that can be both axially slid along a mounting shank as well as threadedly engaged therewith. Torque limiting features may be provided to limit the amount of loading that may be provided by an attachment member to a filter element. Identifiers of appropriate tightening of attachment members may be provided. Clocking features and mechanisms for better balancing loading on seal members may be provided.

Abstract: Die Erfindung betrifft vorzugsweise eine Fluidfiltervorrichtung (10) mit einerm sich axial erstreckenden Hohlfasermodul (12), das in einem sich ebenfalls axial erstreckenden Filtergehäuse (14) angeordnet ist. Zwischen dem Hohlfasermodul (12) und dem Filtergehäuse (14) kann beidenends in radialer Richtung jeweils eine Dichtvorrichtung (38) angeordnet sein. Die Dichtvorrichtung (38) weist insbesondere einen Dichtungsträger (44) in Form eines Blechrings auf. Der Blechring kann eine nach innen offene erste Aufnahmenut (46) mit einem ersten Dichtring (48) und eine nach außen offene zweite Aufnahmenut (50) mit einem zweiten Dichtring (52) aufweisen. Das Filtergehäuse (14) kann dadurch in radialer Richtung frei von Aufnahmenuten für Dichtungen ausgebildet sein. Die Abdichtung des Hohlfasermoduls (12) gegenüber dem Filtergehäuse (14) erfolgt dennoch auf zuverlässige und konstruktiv einfache Art und Weise.
