Abstract: An apparatus for creating a high pressure comprises a multipiston system (1). Each piston (2) is compounded in its axial direction and consists of two parts, one of them being a working body (4) and another being a base (8). The wording body (4) is, in its turn, compounded in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (3) of the piston (2) and consists of a central insertion (21) and a ring (22) embracing it, both coaxially mounted and movable towards the test sample (7). The area of the butt end (23) of the central insertion (21) of the working body (4) is approximately equal to or less (as in this case) than the area of the central part (18) of the butt end (11) of the working body (4). The butt end (5) of the working body (4) is in direct contact with a hard, plastic under pressure, medium (6) surrounding the test sample (7). The butt end (9) of the base (8) is facing a means (10) for shifting the pistons (2), that means being common for all the pistons. The space between interfacing butt ends (11 and 12) of the working body (4) and of the base (8) is filled with a hard, plastic under pressure, medium (13). The surface of the butt ends (11 and 12) is provided with similar circular grooves (14 and 15, respectively), filled with a hard, platic under pressure, medium (20).
