Abstract: A sanitising apparatus (10) for sanitising a door handle (17) is affixable to a door surface (14) adjacent a door handle (17) to be sanitised. A main body (12) houses a reservoir (50) for holding a quantity of sanitizing liquid or gel, an actuator (30), and a pump (42). A nozzle (20) is provided that is spaced apart from, but directed towards, the door handle (17), which produces a fan spray pattern (22) directed towards the handle (17). Upon actuation, the pump (42) transfers a quantity of the sanitizing liquid or gel from the reservoir (50) to, and out through, the nozzle (20), and at the same time, because the nozzle (20) is mounted on an actuated moveable mount (18), the nozzle (20) is moved such that the fan of spray of sanitizing liquid or gel traverses (21, 21a) the handle (17) thereby coating it with the sanitizing liquid or gel.
