Abstract: Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Herstellen einer mit einer Folie (24) ausgekleideten Schale (4), insbesondere einer Schale (4) zur Aufnahme von Lebensmitteln, mit den Schritten: Aufrichten eines ungefalteten Bogens aus papierfaserbasiertem Material zu einer Schale (4) mit einem Boden (10) und mit einer eine Oberkante (12) aufweisenden Seitenwand (14) aus mindestens zwei Seitenwandteilen (16a, 16b), wobei seitlich aneinandergrenzende Seitenwandteile (16a, 16b) sich gegenseitig überlappend ausgebildet sind, und mit einem an der Oberkante (12) umlaufenden und sich von dieser nach außen erstreckenden Kragen (18), der eine Zugriffsöffnung (20) definiert, Positionieren der Folie (24) oberhalb der Zugriffsöffnung (20), Erwärmen der Folie (24), Fixieren der Folie (24) auf dem Kragen (18), und Beaufschlagen einer der Schalen (4) abgewandten Seite (34) der Folie (24) mit Druckluft (6) zum Einblasen der Folie (24) in die Zugriffsöffnung (20), um die Folie (24) an den Boden (10) und die Seitenwand (14) zu laminieren.

Abstract: A method for top sealing a cardboard tray lined with a plastic foil is disclosed, which method comprises the steps of: • - providing a cardboard tray having a bottom, upstanding walls arranged along the periphery of the bottom and a horizontal flange arranged along the upper edges of the upstanding walls, wherein the inside of the cardboard tray is lined with a plastic foil, which plastic foil extends at least onto the horizontal flange; • - arranging the cardboard tray in a lower sealing tool member having a compressible support edge, wherein at least the horizontal flange is supported by the compressible support edge of the lower sealing tool member; • - arranging a cover foil over the cardboard tray arranged in the lower sealing tool member to cover the opening of the tray defined by the upper edges of the upstanding walls; • - pressing a heated upper sealing tool member onto the lower sealing tool member, wherein the cover foil, the plastic foil liner and the horizontal flange are pressed together to seal the cover foil onto the plastic foil liner along the horizontal flange wherein, in view of the pressing direction, the overlapping area of the plastic foil liner, the cover foil and the compressible support edge extends at least partially outside of the area of the horizontal flange.

Abstract: Method for the production of a bowl, comprises the steps of : preparing a cardboard or corrugated board blank wherein crease lines (10, 12) delimit a bottom panel (14), four side walls (16, 18) extending therefrom, each provided with an internal flap (20, 28) and an external flap (22, 30), erecting the blank into a tray (40) by folding the side walls about the respective crease lines, folding said internal flaps and external flaps, so that the flaps are parallel to the bottom panel, applying adhesive on the internal and/or the external flaps of each side wall, folding the external flaps to adhere to the respective internal flap, forming a rim protruding outwards from the edge of each side wall and parallel to the bottom panel, applying adhesive on gaps (46) between abutting ends of the rims of adjacent side walls, so that said gaps are filled and sealed, and attaching a sealing film (48) on the rims, so that the tray is closed.
