摘要: Described herein is a method and apparatus for driving a droplet ejection device with multi-pulse waveforms. In one embodiment, a method for driving a droplet ejection device having an actuator includes applying a multi-pulse waveform having two or more drive pulses and a cancellation pulse to the actuator. The method further includes generating a pressure response wave in a pumping chamber in response to each pulse. The method further includes causing the droplet ejection device to eject a droplet of a fluid in response to the drive pulses of the multi-pulse waveform. The method further includes canceling the pressure response waves associated with the drive pulses with the pressure response wave associated with the cancellation pulse.

An example printhead includes a circulation channel having an inlet for receiving a fluid and an outlet for expelling the fluid, a first nozzle fluidically coupled to the circulation channel, the first nozzle being operable at a first absolute pressure, and a second nozzle fluidically coupled to the circulation channel, the second nozzle being operable at a second absolute pressure, the absolute second pressure being lower than the first absolute pressure. The absolute pressure in the circulation channel decreases as the fluid flows from the inlet to the outlet, and the first nozzle is positioned closer to the inlet of the circulation channel than the second nozzle.

摘要: Example implementations relate to initiation of a shortage model in a printing device. For example, initiation of a shortage model may include guidance of a page of print media through a printing device by a feedshaft and an upper paper guide, where the page of print media is held by a media control surface. A shortage model may be initiated based on an amount of data to be printed. An ink nozzle may be turned off based on the initiated shortage model.

摘要: Examples associated with drop velocity aberrancy detection are disclosed. One example includes firing ink through nozzles of a printhead past sensors to identify drop velocities of the nozzles. A target drop velocity is selected based on the drop velocities of the nozzles. An aberrant nozzles is detected when a nozzle has a drop velocity that deviates from the target drop velocity by a selected threshold. The aberrant nozzle is deactivated, and a good nozzle that will travel over locations traversed by the aberrant nozzle is configured to print portions of a job that would have been printed by the aberrant nozzle.
