Abstract: An interconnected outrigger pad support system is provided. The system includes a base pad assembly layer, a support layer, and an upper pad. The base pad assembly layer is formed of a plurality of base pads having alignment features that extend across at least a portion of the upper surface of the plurality of base pads. The support layer is placed on top of the base pad assembly layer and the support layer engages and is held in place by the alignment features of the plurality of base pads. In one or more arrangements, the upper pad has an upper surface and a lower surface, with the lower surface also having an alignment feature. When the upper pad is placed on top of the support layer, the alignment feature of the upper pad engages and is held in place by the support layer.

Abstract: A semi-trailer landing gear apparatus employing a handheld power tool is disclosed. The landing gear apparatus is attached to a standard landing gear drive shaft. The landing gear apparatus includes a slip collar drive that allows an operator to use the power tool without removing the hand crank. The power tool has a locking blade which slides into or otherwise engages with a trailer-mounted bracket or bracket mounted on a telescoping arm when the coupler is engaged, preventing rotational movement against the operator as the motor is activated. The power tool also has a quick-release socket assembly which readily connects and disconnects the power tool from the apparatus. A planetary gear system is employed for gear reduction within the power tool. The apparatus may employ a trailer-mounted motor to raise and lower the trailer landing gear.

Abstract: The present invention relates a trailer jack (10) having two configurations for lifting and supporting wheeled modes of transport and, in particular, for raising either a single axle trailer or a multi (dual) axle trailer. In a first configuration, the trailer jack (10) is arranged to engage with the sole axle of a single axle trailer. The trailer jack (10) raises the axle directly and hence the wheels mounted thereon such that a wheel can be removed and replaced. This is achieved without having to engage the trailer jack (10) at a reinforced position on the body shell of the trailer or under a dedicated position on a chassis of the trailer. Furthermore, as will be explained, the movement of the trailer jack (10) to the raised position is achieved through the movement of the trailer without the need for any manual or hydraulic lifting mechanism.
