Abstract:
Bearing (1) for the propeller driving shaft (18) of a boat comprising at least one element of attachment (3, 4, 22) to the hull (2) and at least one bearing arm (5, 21) of the propeller driving shaft (18). The element of attachment (3, 4, 22) and the bearing arm (5, 21) are connectable together and mutually orientable and/or adjustable about at least one axis (B, C), and are mutually lockable in the final selected position.
Abstract:
A cooling system for a water-borne vessel (1) is disclosed. The system comprises a strut (5) for supporting a propeller shaft (4) of the vessel, the strut (5) comprising a fluid inlet (8), a fluid outlet (9), and a channel (10) inside the strut (5) for transporting fluid between the fluid inlet and fluid outlet, one or more fluid conduits coupling the fluid inlet and outlet to a component to be cooled, and a pump for circulating a fluid through the conduits and said channel.
Abstract:
A propeller arrangement (100) for a marine vessel, the propeller arrangement (100) comprising a propeller (110), a propeller shaft assembly (120) comprising a shaft portion (122) extending from a distal side of the propeller (111 ), a support member (130) arranged to be connected to a hull (2) of the marine vessel, and a bearing arrangement (140) interconnecting the support member (130) and the shaft portion (122). The propeller arrangement is characterized in that the support member (130) comprises at least one cooling fluid conduit (131 ) for accommodating and circulating a first cooling fluid within the support member (130) and further to the shaft portion (122) and/or to the bearing arrangement (140).
Abstract:
Abstract:
Boat (10) comprising a steering and propelling unit comprising at least one driving shaft (11, 11') passing in an opening of the transom (12) for transmitting the motion from a motor to at least one propeller (21, 21'), at least one steering (14) provided at the top with at least one rotation pin (13), and a through-hull support (100) able to be associated with the opening and equipped with a plate portion (101) able to be fixed on the outside to the hull (12) of the boat (10) and with a through- hull tubular portion (102) for support of the at least one driving shaft (11, 11' ), in which the through-hull support (100) also comprises at least one bush (103) passing through the plate portion (101) to support, in a rotary manner, the pin (13) bearing the steering (14) and in which the wall (12) of the hull where the passage opening of the at least one driving shaft (11, 11') is formed is inclined from the top to the bottom in the direction of the stem of the boat (10).
Abstract:
A stern mounted vertically adjustable propeller and rudder marine drive. The aft end of a propeller shaft (24), the propeller (38), the rudder (60) and a skeg (42) are vertically movable to adjust a boat's draft for use in the water and when trailering. A stern underwater slot in the boat hull is shaped to enhance water flow and accommodates the propeller shaft which is driven by an inboard engine. As the propeller shaft passes through the hull slot it engages a flexible water seal mechanism (32) which self adjusts or maintains itself in various up and downward positions; its pivotal point is common with the centerline pivotal point of a universal joint (20), which is attached to the drive shaft and connected to the transmission of an inboard engine.
