Abstract:
Containers with reinforced bottom panels, methods of making containers with reinforced bottom panels, and methods of using containers with reinforced bottom panels. The containers with reinforced bottom panels have one or more bottom panels, one or more pleats folded along a center line at an angle of about 180°, two side panels, two end panels, and two pairs of side panel extensions. The pleats provide extra strength to the bottom panels of the containers, thereby reducing or eliminating sag in the bottom panels of such containers, particularly when high-water content goods are placed in such containers or when such containers are stored or used in a high-humidity environment.
Abstract:
An interactive food serving package (10) formed from a blank (B) of paperboard has a tray (11) with openings (19) for receiving items, and a combined lid and game piece (12) detachably connected to the tray. The tray has front and back walls (13, 14), opposite end walls (16, 17), a bottom wall (15) and a top wall (18). The front and back walls are pivotably connected to the top and bottom walls, and the end walls comprise releasably interlocking end closure flaps (24, 25, 46, 47), whereby the tray may be moved between a flattened condition with the top and bottom walls lying flat against one another, and an open expanded condition with the top and bottom walls in spaced parallel relationship. Cuts made in the top wall define a plurality of partition panels (29, 30, 36, 37) extending perpendicularly between the top and bottom walls in the expanded condition, and including at least one transverse partition panel (36, 37) holding the tray in the expanded position.
Abstract:
A machine for producing packages of containers, in particular containers of pourable food, comprises: - a first feeding device (4) for feeding a plurality of containers (100), - a second feeding device (8) for feeding a sucession of empty inner boxes (200), - a filling station (6) having a manipulator (7) configured to pick up at least one group of containers (100) fed by the first feeding device (4) and to release the at least one group of containers (100) in at least one respective inner box (200) fed by the second feeding device (8), - a packing station (9) where each inner box (200) filled with the containers (100) is enclosed into a respective outer box (300) having an open lid, and - a closing station (400) located downstream of the packing station (9) for closing the lid of each outer box (300) to obtain a closed package.
Abstract:
A rigid package (1) for tobacco articles having a container (2) of parallelepiped shape; a single inner wrapper (3), which encloses a group of tobacco articles, is housed inside the container (2) and has a width that is smaller than the width of the container (2); a lid (5), which is hinged to the container (2); and a collar (12), which is partially arranged on the inside of the container (2) and has a first side wall (13), a front wall (14), a second side wall (15), a rear wall (16), and an intermediate wall (17) which is arranged between the side walls (13, 15) and divides the inner volume of the container (2) into a main compartment (18), which is open on the upper side and houses the inner wrapper (3) and in a second compartment (19) arranged next to the main compartment (18); the collar further has a support element (21), which rests against the intermediate wall (17) of the collar (12) on the opposite side with respect to the inner wrapper (3).
Abstract:
A box (2) for storing at least one compressed tablet (4); the compressed tablet comprises a major surface (18) and a minor surface (20), wherein the major surface of the tablet has a larger surface area than the minor surface of the tablet; the box comprises at least one side, a lid (8) and a bottom (9) defining a storage portion (14) for the at least one compressed tablet; the box further comprises at least one air column (6) located adjacent a side of the box; the air column comprises a hollow section that separates the side of the box from the contents of the box; wherein the at least one compressed tablet is located in the storage portion of the box with at least one minor surface adjacent to the top and/or bottom of the box and at least one major surface adjacent the at least one air column.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a packaging for a plurality of optical elements (6). The packaging comprises a flexible paper sheet material (1) for radially holding the circumference of the optical element, the flexible paper sheet material further comprising radially inward protruding paper sheet material portions (5) for axial support of the rim of the optical element. The invention further relates to methods for packing optical elements into such packagings.
