A vibratory apparatus includes a deck, an electro-mechanical sensor and at least one vibratory exciter. The deck has an upper surface configured to receive items to be conveyed in at least a first direction along a longitudinal axis from a first deck end to a second deck end. The electro-mechanical sensor includes a wheel disposed above the upper surface of the deck, the wheel being rotatable about a wheel axis disposed transverse to the longitudinal axis, and an electronic sensor associated with the wheel, the electronic sensor configured to generate a signal representative of the revolutions per unit time of the wheel. The at least one vibratory exciter is attached to the deck and is configured to move the material along the deck.

A fluid removal system for removing fluid from a product stream is described herein. The fluid removal system comprises a table, a permeable conveyor to transport the product stream across a top surface of the table and a plenum disposed below the permeable conveyor to draw the fluid from the product stream through the permeable conveyor. At least one vibration inducing mechanism is mounted to the table to provide vibratory motion directly to the table and indirectly to the conveyor. The table is supported by oscillating mounts that provide oscillatory motion to the table.

The present invention relates to a storage and reclaim system (100) for bulk material (102). The system (100) comprises a bulk material holding space (104) having a bottom portion (108) provided with a discharge port (106). The bottom portion (108) comprises an inclined support plate (112) for supporting the bulk material (102) and for assisting gravity induced feeding of the bulk material (102) towards the discharge port (106). The support plate (112) is supported by a support structure (114) in a free-floating manner. One or more vibrators (116) are connected to the support plate (112) and configured to transfer vibrational energy to the support plate (112) to induce a vibrational movement of the support plate (112). The discharge port (106) comprises one or more inclined discharge port plates (124). One or more vibrators (116) are connected to each discharge port plate (124). In order to provide the capability of distributing a material that is conveyed, a vibratory distribution conveyor (10) includes a deck (12) having a distribution edge (16). The distribution edge extends between an inlet end (14) and an end (18) remote therefrom and the deck (12) is subject to vibratory motion to cause material to be conveyed from the inlet end (14) toward the end (18) remote therefrom. With this arrangement, the declination of the deck is controlled about the longitudinal axis (20) to control the distribution characteristics of the conveyor (10).
