Abstract: A beverage dispensing head includes a housing having a front, a rear, and a base that extends between the front and the rear. A mixing nozzle is configured to dispense a flow of beverage via the base. A valve is configured to control the flow of beverage via the mixing nozzle, and a switch is movable into and between a closed position in which the valve opens the flow of beverage via the mixing nozzle and an open position in which the valve closes the flow of beverage via the mixing nozzle. A lighting module disposed in the housing is configured to illuminate the front of the housing and the base of the housing when the switch is moved into the closed position.

Abstract: A gasoline pump apparatus (10) comprises one or more pump nozzles (12), a sensor (19) configured to detect nozzle removal from and replacement to a nozzle storage bay, and a first housing enclosing at least some gas dispensing apparatus. In addition, a second housing encloses at least one video display (30) and at least one video display controller (34). The at least one video display controller is coupled to the sensor such that the video display output changes with changes in nozzle position. The fuel delivery system may include a camera 500 positioned to monitor an interior of a sump, the interior of the sump being provided by a sump basin 750 and a sump cover 752, which may be a dispenser or another portion of the fuel delivery system.

Abstract: A lighting assembly (10) for use in backlighting a liquid crystal display (18) integral with a fuel dispensing system includes a plurality of light emitting diodes disposed on a circuit board and arranged into a matrix configuration having a plurality of rows each including a respective LED arrangement. The LED arrangement for each row of the matrix is staggered relative to the LED arrangements for any adjacent rows of the matrix. The staggering enables the light emanations from each respective one of the LED's to overlap with the light emanations from at least one other LED, resulting in a composite light pattern incident on the backlighting surface of the LCD that is characterized by a substantial absence of non-lit areas.
