摘要: Fracturing or fracking fluids are provided for fracturing a subterranean reservoir for hydrocarbon recovery and related methods. In some embodiments, the fluid comprises lignin, in particular technical lignin, and at least one strain of bacteria capable of biosurfactant production and/or a biosurfactant produced by at least one such isolated strain of bacteria. 摘要: A formulation according to the invention that can be utilized in the prevention and/or resolving of water and oil emulsions, is described. These formulations have been found to modify water and oil emulsions, and to be very effective non-emulsifiers / weak emulsifiers and/or demulsifiers, specifically in high brine or highly acidic environments, for water and crude oil emulsions. A method of servicing a wellbore comprising introducing a treatment fluid comprising a pore-connectivity enhancer comprising a phosphonoalkyl moiety; (a) a surfactant composition comprising a fatty acid alkoxylate, an amine oxide, alkanolamide, an alkoxylated alcohol, an alkylamine alkoxylate, an alkyl glycoside surfactant or a combination thereof; and a base fluid, wherein the composition has a pH of from about 5 to about 9 and wherein introducing comprises thermal injection, gas injection or chemical injection.

摘要: The invention is directed to methods for improving the recovery of oil from subterranean geological formations, such as unconventional reservoirs. The invention is also directed to methods for evaluating the efficiency of inject-soak-produce gas injection methods for oil recovery in unconventional reservoirs. In one embodiment, a method for evaluating the efficiency of oil recovery from an unconventional reservoir rock sample includes characterizing the rock sample by imaging the rock sample using a nano-CT scanner and/or scanning electron microscopy (SEM); cleaning the rock sample by flowing solvent through it; saturating the rock sample with crude oil; and establishing initial water saturation in the rock sample.

摘要: A treatment additive for hydraulic fracturing made of heated silica to create amorphous silicate with a Mohrs hardness between 4.5 and 6 and a particles distribution with maximum diameter between 5 and 2600 microns that has been heated and shaped into amorphous shapes with large surface area to weight ratio and ultra-low settling velocity used to prop microfractures distal from well bore, especially in low viscosity and high temperature wells. The microparticle size and shape allow the treatment to effectively hold microfractures open, stimulate backpressure, and prevent leakoff; which has the added benefit of improving primary fracture development; refrac and frac protect productivity; and reduces the likelihood of interference between offset wells. An additional benefit is that the treatment doesn't contain crystalline silica.
