Abstract:
A system and methods for stitching are disclosed. The system includes a first thread feeding mechanism configured to feed a continuous supply of a first thread, a second thread feeding mechanism configured to feed a continuous supply of a second thread, a plate separating the first thread feeding mechanism and the second thread feeding mechanism, and a knot tying mechanism configured to pass a bight of the first thread for at least one turn around a portion of the second thread and securing the bight around the second thread.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for operating a sewing machine for joining a jacket part (38) to a sleeve part (39). The sewing machine used has an operation and control unit. The desired stitch length and the length (1a1 to 1d1) of sections (a1 to d1) of the jacket part (38) and the length (1a2 to 1d2) of the sections (a2 to d2) of the sleeve part (39) that are allocated to the sections (a1 to d1) of the jacket part (38) are input into said operation and control unit and are used to determine the necessary control pulses for the feed drives required for each section (a1/a2 to d1/d2).
Abstract:
A method for providing visual effects to a decorative thread pattern, is provided. The method comprises i) determining an object to be produced as such decorative thread pattern, ii) determining a thread arrangement comprising a plurality of consecutive thread portions, each thread portion having a thread portion direction, wherein the entire thread arrangement corresponds to said object to be produced, iii) determining at least one visual effect of said object to be produced, said visual effect being associated with a set of thread portions of said thread arrangement and having a direction being different from at least one thread portion direction of the set of thread portions, and iv) determining a colouring scheme for a specific thread such that the visual effect is obtained when production of the decorative thread pattern, using said thread according to said thread arrangement, is performed. A control unit is also provided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of operating a quilting or sewing machine. In the method, an operator may switch the modes in which the sewing machine is operating. The modes may be switched when the sewing machine is in operation or when the machine is stopped. The modes to which the sewing machine may be switched to and from may be preset modes as defined by an operator. The modes that may be switched to and from may include settings for stitch mode and stitch speed. The buttons may be physical buttons associated with the sewing machine's handles, or they may be digital buttons associated with a tablet device.
