Die Anmeldung geht aus von einer Korrosionsschutzvorrichtung (44), insbesondere einem Korrosionsschutzadapter, zumindest zu einem Schutz zumindest eines Endbereichs (10) eines, insbesondere aus einem korrosionsunbeständigen Metall oder aus einer korrosionsunbeständigen Metalllegierung, beispielsweise aus einem Baustahl oder einem Betonstahl, ausgebildeten, geotechnischen Ankerelements (12) vor Korrosion, mit zumindest einem Hülsenelement (14), welches zumindest zu einer, den Endbereich (10) des geotechnischen Ankerelements (12) zumindest in Umfangsrichtung des geotechnischen Ankerelements (12) umschließenden, Montage an das geotechnische Ankerelement (12) vorgesehen ist. Es wird vorgeschlagen, dass das Hülsenelement (14) zumindest zu einem Großteil aus einem korrosionsbeständigen Metall ausgebildet ist und zumindest ein Außengewinde (16) aufweist.

An interlocking tie-back arranged in an array manner, and adapted to serve as a support to allow distribution of loadings efficiently onto a larger bulk surface area or volumetric zone of unrestrained soil, earth, structures, fences, utilities, or the like. The interlocking tie-back includes: a) at least one bearing platform, wherein the bearing platform comprising: i) a rigid body, ii) a hollow collar, iii) a hollow sleeve provided with female threads on its inner wall surface, iv) a plurality of spaced apart cavities, v) a plurality of channels, and/or vi) a plurality of canals; b) a hollow, tapered anchor wedge; c) a plurality of hollow, tapered wedge cavities; d) a hollow anchor wedge bolt with male threads; e) a plurality of interlocking members / linkage arms or; f) a plurality of tensioning cables; and/or g) a tie rod or tendon securely connected to the bearing platform.

Contemplated compositions and methods for treating in service concrete includes the step of contacting a portion of the in service concrete with an composition, wherein the composition comprises a base and at least one of an acid and a salt of an acid in an amount effective to convert insoluble calcium salts into soluble calcium gluconates that can be washed away with water or other liquid.

Beschrieben wird eine Kolkschutzvorrichtung (1) mit einer Sammelstruktur (10), mindestens einer an der Sammelstruktur angeordneten Schutzstruktur (20), und mindestens einem an der Sammelstruktur angeordneten Befestigungselement (30), wobei das Befestigungselement ausgebildet ist, an einer Tragevorrichtung (60, 70) befestigt zu werden. Das Besondere der Erfindung besteht darin, dass die Sammelstruktur mindestens eine Aussparung (11, 12, 13, 14, 15) aufweist und die Schutzstruktur mindestens eine Aussparung (21, 22, 23, 24, 25) aufweist, die mindestens teilweise mit der Aussparung der Sammelstruktur überlappt (Figur 12a).

A structural module comprises a rigid cell including two substantially parallel planar members, each of which defines an ordered array of circular apertures with a series of columns disposed substantially normally to the two parallel surfaces retaining the two members in a fixed spaced relationship from each other. Male interlocking means which are integral with the module project from two adjacent side edges of the module. Female interlocking means are defined the other two adjacent side edges. The modules can be secured together in side edge to side edge relation, in which relationship the male locking means from a first module engage in a female locking means of a second module. The circular shape of the perimeter of the male locking member matches the size and shape of the apertures so that one module may also be inter-engaged with a second module with each male locking member of the one module projecting into one of the apertures of the second module in an interference type fit, with the first module oriented generally normally to the second module.

A pile wrapper comprises a flexible sheet (2) of parallelogram form with stiff but not completely rigid members (3) along a pair of opposite edges proud of the side of the sheet to be exposed. This side also has flexible ribs or vanes (4) parallel to those members. When wrapped around a pile (1) the members (3) are squeezed and fastened together, forcing those members into a helical configuration, similar to that adopted by the ribs or vanes (4). Water flowing past the pile is diverted towards the longitudinal direction of the pile, reducing the tendency to vortex induced vibration.
Abstract:
To inhibit fouling by marine life of an undersea structure, the part of the structure to be protect (32) is provided with a plurality of elongate fronds (20) of flexible plastics material, such that they can move against each other under the influence of water currents to create a constantly moving surface. Preferably the device is backed by a foam layer (50) which inhibits water movement against the surface of the structure thus reducing corrosion.
