A controller for a municipal water system having a pump connected to a suction line, featuring a signal processor and a memory module configured to: receive suction line pressure sensor signaling sensed by a suction line pressure sensor arranged on the suction line and containing information about a suction line pressure of water flowing in the suction line; receive low suction pressure limit signaling programmed in the memory module and containing information about a low suction pressure limit of the water flowing in the suction line; and provide control signaling containing information to control the operation of the pump depending on a relationship between the suction line pressure and the low suction pressure limit, based upon the suction line pressure sensor signaling and the low suction pressure limit signaling received. The control signaling may contain information to reduce or stop the water flowing in suction line if the suction line pressure falls below the low suction pressure limit.

A pumping system includes a motor and a drive shaft configured for rotation by the motor. The pumping system includes an upper pump positioned above the motor, an upper pump shaft and an upper directional coupling connected between the drive shaft and the upper pump shaft. The upper directional coupling is configured to lock the upper pump shaft to the drive shaft when the drive shaft is rotated in a first direction. The pumping system further includes a lower pump positioned below the motor, a lower pump shaft, and a lower directional coupling connected between the drive shaft and the lower pump shaft. The lower directional coupling is configured to lock the lower pump shaft to the drive shaft when the drive shaft is rotated in a second direction.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Pumpvorrichtung (1) zur Förderung eines Fördermediums (4) aus einer von einem Flurniveau (5) in das Erdinnere führenden Tiefenbohrung (5b), die mindestens abschnittsweise mit einer Bohr-Verrohrung (5a) ausgekleidet ist, mit einer Pumpe (2) und einem die Pumpe (2) antreibenden Motor. Indem der Motor (3) außerhalb der Bohr-Verrohrung (5a) angeordnet und über die Bohr-Verrohrung (5a) seitlich durchdringende Drehmomentübertragungsmittel mit der Pumpe (2) verbindbar ist, kann der Motor (3) vor Überhitzung geschützt und im Störfalle unabhängig von der Pumpe (2) aus der Tiefenbohrung (5b) gezogen werden.

A well pump assembly (13) has a submersible well fluid pump (19), motor (15), and seal section (17) with a seal section shaft (51)for transferring rotation of a motor drive shaft to a pump drive shaft. The seal section has a shaft passage (49) through which the seal section shaft extends. A movable compensating element (41) has an interior containing motor lubricant that is in fluid communication with motor lubricant in the motor and also in fluid communication with motor lubricant in the shaft passage. A shaft seal (53) restricts well fluid from entry into the shaft passage. A lubricant pump (77) driven by the shaft has a discharge within the shaft passage below the shaft seal. A recirculation passage (85) extends from the shaft passage at a point between the discharge of the lubricant pump and the shaft seal to the interior of the compensating element.

A drinkable water well structure (1) comprises: a structural tube (2) defining a lateral wall of a well; a submersible pump (6), positioned at a lower end (3) of the tube (2) and connected to a delivery conduit (10); and a support device (7) that supports the pump (6) and connects mechanically and in a fluid-tight manner the pump (6) to an inner lateral surface (12) of the tube (2), in such a way that the tube (2) performs both a structural function, since the tube (2) defines the lateral wall of the well, and a function of channelling the water drawn by the pump (6), since the tube (2) also defines the delivery conduit (10) of the pump (6).
