Abstract:
The invention is a new cylinder for locks, comprising a revolving plug (R) suited to control the bolt and partially projecting from the side of the main body (C) of the cylinder when there is no key in the keyhole, and comprising a locking pin (B; Bl, B2, B3) completely housed in the main body (C). Said locking pin (B l, B2) comprises a first locking portion (B l) suited to be inserted in and extracted from recesses, seats, holes or other similar shaped cavities (Rf) present in the revolving plug (R) that is coupled with the bolt, and a second operating portion (B2) suited to be coupled with a translation mechanism (M). Said translation mechanism (M) and said locking pin (B; Bl, B2, B3) are housed in the main body (C) of the lock cylinder, in a part where there are no other mechanisms and intended to be positioned towards the inside of the house, apartment or building.
Abstract:
A latching assembly for a gate comprising: a latch operative to adopt a latched condition, the latch comprising one or more members coupled together, each latch member extending along a longitudinal axis; and a lock comprising a lock portion adjustable from a retracted to a projected configuration to bring the lock portion into engagement with the or at least one of the latch members in the projected configuration so as to lock the latch in its latched condition.
Abstract:
A control box cover assembly is provided that includes a plurality of side panels, a front panel selectively coupled to the plurality of side panels, and a latch coupled to a side panel and extending outwards therefrom, with the latch having an opening formed therein having a first direction longer than a second direction. The control box cover assembly also includes a fastener positioned within the opening, with the fastener further including a shaft having a first end and a second end, a head coupled to the first end, and a protrusion extending radially outwards from the shaft proximal the second end. The protrusion is configured to hold the fastener within the opening when the protrusion is aligned with the second direction and release the fastener from the opening when the protrusion is aligned with the first direction.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a method of forming a securing device (10) in a panel (12), to a securing device (10) and to a panel (12). It is envisaged that the securing device (10) of the invention can be applied releasably to secure a panel (12), such as a door panel, a window panel, a panel of a drawer, or the like, for example, in a closed condition. In addition, the securing device (10) can be used to secure a panel (12), such as a door panel, or the like, for example, in an open condition, so as to serve as a door stop, for example. The securing device (10) includes: an elongate slide member (18) insertable through a mouth (20) of a passage (11 ) cut in a panel (12); a manually operable actuation member (24) connectable to the inserted slide member (18) through an opening, defined in one of the major faces (12.1 ), through which at least a portion of the passage (22) is revealed, such that at least a portion of the manually operable actuation member (18) extends from the opening; and a guide plate (30) defining a guide slot (32), the guide plate (30) being securable to the major face (12.1 ) to cover the opening, such that the manually operable actuation member (24) extends through the guide slot (32).
Abstract:
A new alternative uplock release assembly is provided. The assembly comprises a pivot pin having a first end and a second end and an internal bore, a release system operatively connected to the first end of the pivot pin, said release system comprising a cylinder and a piston, said piston having a piston head and an elongated member passing longitudinally through said bore, said cylinder having a pressure port through which a pressure source can be fed. The assembly further comprises a hooking member, a torque member rotatably mounted at the second end of the pivot pin, a biasing system operatively connected to the torque member, said biasing system having a bias cylinder and a biasing means located within the bias cylinder. When biasing force is applied to the torque member, an interlocking means to enable the rotatable interconnection between the torque member and the hooking member in a locked and first position, and an engaging means to interconnect the torque member with a link member. When torque is applied to the link member, the torque is transferred, via the engaging means and interlocking means, to the hooking member forcing the hooking member to rotate around the pivot pin. During alternative operation, pressure is fed through the pressure port, the piston counteracts the biasing force, thereby translating the torque member longitudinally over the pivot pin sufficiently to decouple the torque member and the hooking member from the said locked and first position, to an unlocked and second position enabling the hooking member to rotate around the pivot pin.
Abstract:
A manhole (50) comprising a device for safety closing and locking the manhole (50), comprising a cylinder (7), attached to a slab (8) which comprises centering pins (17, 17'), the cylinder (7) being able to rotate around an axis a-a' by the action of an operating key (29) acting on the pins (17, 17'), the manhole (50) further comprising at least one "anti-burglary block" (1), which in the locked position is positioned inside the cylinder (7) by means of one of the centering pins (17, 17'), said block (1) having a thickness equal to the height of the cylinder (7) and a curved surface in order to be adaptable to the inner wall of the cylinder (7), whose function is to hide and protect an anti-theft bolt (2) inside a hole (2a), which crosses the whole anti-burglary block (1), said hole (2a) having a larger diameter at the front and a diameter equal to the nominal diameter of the anti-theft bolt (2) in the back which supports the inner wall of the cylinder itself (7) having a tightening threaded spot (16) able to allow the placement of the anti-theft bolt (2) in the depth of the body of the anti-burglary block (1) in total tightening conditions into the threaded spot (16), wherein the end of the anti-theft bolt (2), in the closed position, is housed in a locking hole (15) on a circular support (13) of the cover (4).
Abstract:
A locking mechanism for a door includes an outside actuator, an inside actuator, and a housing removably fixed to the door. A locking bar is selectively engageable with the housing. A first cam member is operable to move the locking bar from an unlocked position wherein the locking bar is released from the housing and a locked position wherein the locking bar is fixedly coupled to the housing. A spindle is rotatably coupled to the inside actuator and selectively coupled to the outside actuator. A second cam member is coupled to the first cam member and to the spindle and operable to move the locking bar from the locked position to the unlocked position in response to rotation of the inside actuator from a neutral position to one of a first clockwise position and a second counterclockwise position.
