Abstract:
A door system includes a doorframe having opposing vertical jambs, a door pivotably coupled to the doorframe, a threshold extending between the opposing vertical jambs and providing an upper surface that defines a valley, and a dam removably mountable to the threshold at the valley. A valley seal interposes the dam and the threshold at the valley when the dam is mounted to the threshold and thereby generates a sealed interface between the dam and the threshold.
Abstract:
A louver assembly for placement in an opening for regulating the inlet of air includes a first blade stack having a plurality of elongated blades mounted within a frame having an upper frame member and a lower frame member, the lower frame member defining a sill, and a windbreak positioned adjacent to a front face of the louver assembly and extending from a point above the sill to a point below the sill. The windbreak is configured to divert wind at the front face of the louver assembly above the sill to facilitate draining of water from the louver assembly.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The curtain wall incorporates a frame sealing system (101) mutually positioning and sealing window frames arranged adjacently. The frame sealing system includes a seal carrier profile (106) with a first side (107) provided with a first sealing strip (108) adapted to seal against the first frame (102) and a second side (110) being provided with a second sealing strip (111) adapted to seal against the second frame (103). The first side is provided with a first recess (109) in which the first sealing strip is mounted and the second side (110) is provided with a second recess (112) in which the second sealing strip is mounted, and each first and second sealing strip is made of a deformable adhesive material adapted to adhere to the respective frame. The frame sealing system is adapted to engage a peripherally extending groove (105) of each frame.
Abstract:
Apparatus for allowing ventilation for underground tunnels through a ventilation shaft opening to atmosphere yet preventing underground flooding from surface waters pouring through the grate comprises an assembly that fits within the ventilation shaft and includes one or more panels mounted on a pivot axis and rotatable upwardly by human action raising the panel past a center point of the pivot axis to an upright inwardly leaning home position that allows ventilation as usual but by manual push or pull of the panels past the center point of the pivot axis lets the panels rotationally fall under gravitational impetus to a lower sealing position closing a passage between the ventilation shaft and atmosphere to prevent water from entering the underground tunnels.
Abstract:
Apparatus allowing ventilation through a ventilation shaft to an underground ventilation duct fluidly communicating through the ventilation shaft to an atmospheric opening of the shaft and on threat of flooding operable to prevent downward flow of surface water into the underground ventilation duct includes one or more hinged panels closing a ventilation passage between the top and bottom of a support fitting in the shaft to prevent flooding. The panels have handles on their topside and pivotable arms on their underside and are liftable to an upright home position allowing ventilation, using tools to reach through grating covering openings on the shaft and lift the panel handles and after the panels are partially lifted, using reach tools to engage and lift the arms to press them again support sidewalls to exert lateral force on underside of the panels to complete upward rotation to the home position.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a frameless glass door or window arrangement comprising a static frame (2) and a movably mounted or stationary casement (1), wherein said casement (1) comprises a multiple glazing and at least one drip groove (10,20) provided on the glazing, wherein that said at least one drip groove (10,20) is provided between the plan defined by the external surface of the 5 external glass plate (5) and the plan defined by the internal surface of the internal glass plate (3) of the glazing.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a corner section for installing a window or door frame in a sealing system, thereby ensuring that the system is sealed against driving rain. The invention allows for a second water-drainage level in this system.
