    Abstract: A wellhead annulus packoff and an associated method of energizing and de-energizing are disclosed. The wellhead annulus packoff includes at least one seal element, a hanger lockdown ring, a hanger lockdown energizing ring, a seal lockdown ring, a seal lockdown energizing ring, and one or more mechanical conditional operators, where the at least one seal element adapted to be energized with a first energizing force applied through a seal lockdown energizing ring and with the one or more mechanical conditional operators being engaged, where the seal lockdown ring is adapted to be energized with the first energizing force and with the one or more mechanical conditional operators being disengaged, and where the hanger lockdown ring is adapted to be energized with a second energizing force applied through a hanger lockdown energizing ring.

    Abstract: A high force stroker tool for integration within a wellbore string disposed along a wellbore defined within a subterranean reservoir is provided. The stroker tool includes a hydraulic anchor hydraulically operable to deploy slips securable to the wellbore and to define a mechanical brace, a shifting tool operatively coupled to the hydraulic anchor and comprising a mechanical anchor securable to a movable component, the shifting tool being mechanically operable to move the movable component; and an actuator coupled between the hydraulic anchor and the shifting tool, the actuator being hydraulically operable to brace against the mechanical brace and create a downhole mechanical force adapted to mechanically operate the shifting tool. A method of shifting downhole valve assemblies using the high force stroker tool is also provided.

    Abstract: A flow control system for a well includes a primary safety valve and a secondary safety valve for controlling flow from production tubing in the well. The primary safety valve includes a first valve body, a first flapper, a first control line port for receiving control fluid pressure from a control line, and a first actuator operable to open the first flapper in response to the control fluid pressure. The secondary safety valve is disposable within the valve body of the primary safety valve. The secondary safety valve also includes a second valve body, a second flapper, a second control line port for receiving control fluid pressure from the same control line as the primary safety valve when the secondary safety valve is disposed in the first valve body of the primary safety valve, and an actuator operable to open the second flapper in response to the control fluid pressure. A choke in fluid communication with the second control line port delays a closing of the second flapper relative to a closing of the first flapper in response to a decrease in the control fluid pressure.

    Abstract: An apparatus includes a sub-surface safety valve (SSSV) to be positioned in a wellbore. The SSSV is configurable to move between a closed position and an open position. While in the closed position, the SSSV prevents downhole fluid in the wellbore to flow to a surface of the wellbore. While in the open position, the SSSV allows the downhole fluid in the wellbore to flow to the surface of the wellbore. The apparatus further includes an electrostatic motor to be positioned in the wellbore and to be coupled to the SSSV. The electrostatic motor is to be selectively powered to move the SSSV between the closed position and the open position.

    Abstract: A pressure control system configured to respond to high-pressure conditions in a fluid conduit is disclosed. The system generally includes first and second flow restrictors positionable inline on a fluid conduit and configured to block fluid flow in the conduit and respond to a high-pressure event to allow fluid flow therethrough. The first flow restrictor is position upstream from the second flow restrictor and may open to allow fluid flow in response to the high-pressure event.
