Abstract:
A fastener is installed by applying an axial pressing force onto a mating component such as a round pin or a square tab. The fastener includes spring arms formed by bent tabs which deflect when pressed onto and grip the pin or other mating component between jaws of the arms making the fastener resistant to being pulled off. Downward facing fingers located around the periphery of the fastener flex when they come into contact with another portion of the mating component. This creates a residual clamp load between the fastener and the component. The fastener can easily be removed using a tool similar to snap ring pliers or needle nose pliers. Two holes on opposite sides of the fastener allow the part to be squeezed and deformed into an oval shape. This action disengages the arms and allows the fastener to slide off the mating component without resistance.
Abstract:
A device for resisting rotation of a tap fitted to a work surface comprises a body;an engagement formation for engaging with a part of the tap; and an attachment means for irrotatably attaching the device to the tap. The device further comprises fastening means for irrotatably fastening the device to a work surface.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a connection system, in particular for the assembly, through the mutual connection of component parts, of shelving systems, for example, and/or for the assembly of shelves and/or similar applications. The system comprises a first male element (20) and a second female element (15). The male element and the female element (20, 15) are suited to be alternatively connected to and disconnected from each other, wherein for the mutual connection and disconnection of a male element (20) and a female element (15) an end portion (20e) of the male element (20) is inserted in and respectively extracted from a first housing seat (14) defined by the female element (15). The system comprises a locking element (12) for mutually locking the male and the female element (20, 15). Said locking element (12) comprises at least one tab with a free end portion (12el) suited to be switched through a rotating or bending movement, wherein said tab, in the configuration in which the male element (20) and the female element (15) are disconnected from each other, extends at least partially inside the first housing seat (14). The locking element (12) is configured in such a way that it can be switched in a locked position, in which the free end portion (12el) is engaged with the male element (20) through the insertion of the male element (20) in the first housing seat (14) of the female element (15), and in such a way that any movement of the male element (20) or the female element (15) in the direction contrary to the direction of insertion of the end portion (20e) of the male element (20) in the first seat (14) created in the female element (15) results in the enhanced mutual engagement of the free end portion (12el) of the locking element (12) and the male element (20).

Abstract:
A push-on fastener (100) including a push-on fastener body (102) including an annular base (104) defining an aperture, first and second opposing major surfaces, and a plurality of radial tabs (110) extending from the annular base (104), the radial tabs (110) terminating radially inwardly or radially outwardly and providing a peripheral surface; and a low friction layer overlying the first major surface of the push-on fastener body, wherein the peripheral surface is free of low friction layer.
Abstract:
A retainer assembly for retaining a panel to a component. The retainer assembly includes a base defining a bore for receiving a screw. A pair of front and back support members each have a first section connected to the base, and a second section that overlies the bore for flexing outwardly in response to being engaged by the screw. A front and back primary retention member each extend outwardly from the front and back support members for holding the retainer assembly relative to the panel. A pair of front and back secondary retention members each extend outwardly from the first section of the front and back support members. The front and back secondary retention members terminate closer to the base than the front and back primary retention members to establish an interference fit between the retainer assembly and the panel prior to the screw being driven through the assembly.
