Abstract:
The presented system is a cost effective and energy saving mean of transmitting sunlight downward into a narrow alleys and streets, by using a day-lighting guiding acrylic panel that is capable of changing the direction and distribution of the incident light. The core of the proposed daylight guidance system is made up of light transmission panels that have sine wave shaped cross-section so that the panel functions as an optical diffusor perpendicular to the optical axis. The system consists of the panels and a lattice frame, which supports the panel. The proposed system is to be mounted on the building roof facing the sun but, since building sizes and orientations are different the frame is designed to be easily rotated to adopt different solar conditions such that substantially deep light penetration and high luminance level can be achieved.
Abstract:
Modular candle housing having a housing (1) comprising an upper (11) and a lower part (12, 14). The lower part (12, 14) is comprised of burning module depending of particular fuel and way of burning while the upper part (11) comprises plurality of air flow opening (131, 132) needed for burning and used for prevention of condensation. The burning module according to this invention is comprised of several types of fuel. There can be paraffin, liquid paraffin, plant product (palm oil, palm wax, soy wax, sunflower oil, rape oil, all of these plant products hereinafter referred to as plant wax), bee wax (natural wax) or different appropriate hydrocarbon or battery/ electronic/ electric lighting system. Preferably paraffin can be in particular insert which is inserted into lower part (12, 14) of the housing (1), or it can fill wholly or partially lower part (12, 14) of the housing (1) regardless of paraffin (or other appropriate hydrocarbon) in solid or liquid (e.g. liquid paraffin) state. The upper part (11) is covered on the top with cover (13) resistant to elevated temperature, said cover (13) of metal or man made material including plastics. Under the cover (13) there are two types of openings (131, 132). The openings (131) right below cover are primarily meant to exit of flue gases, the openings (132) below these openings (131) are primarily meant for entrance of cooling air. In addition to these openings (131, 132) the special embodiment may be further comprised of perimeter openings (133) primarily meant for entry of fresh air, meant for combustion.
Abstract:
A light device comprised of an ultraviolet light source and an additional light source; wherein the additional light source is selected from the group consisting of a white light fluorescent and incandescent light; and a related system for sterilizing and cleansing a surface comprising the light device and a switch selected from the group consisting of infrared, movement, electric eye, manual, contact switches, auto or semi-automatic, hard wired, pre- and after market versions; wherein the switch controls the activation and deactivation of the ultraviolet light source and the additional light source such that they are not both on at the same time.
Abstract:
An emergency escape illumination system which marks and identifies escape routes and passageways during an emergency situation is provided. In one embodiment of the invention, the system includes a plurality of chemiluminescent flares (30) which can be activated from a remote location to provide escape path and area lighting in emergency situations. The flares (30) can be connected in series along a wall, ceiling or floor to mark an emergency egress route or to supply emergency non-electric lighting. In another embodiment of the invention, each chemiluminescent flare can be activated individually to provide localized illumination of an area.
Abstract:
An insect repelling system includes a torch that burns a fuel to disburse an insect repellent and a central fuel reservoir configured to automatically replenish the fuel in at least one torch via a plumbing system. Refilling can be controlled using level sensors and valves or by pressure control valves. A remotely operated wick seal can exclude air and prevent fuel spills. Local torch controllers can be powered by wires and/or by batteries, which can be recharged by solar power. The local controllers can be wirelessly controlled. A torch remote fueling conversion kit includes a fuel insert sealed at opposite ends to a fuel pipe and to a wick. The fuel insert is installed within the torch with the wick extending upward into the combustion area, and the fuel pipe extending below the torch. A plug can be attached to the torch to add additional features.
Abstract:
An electromagnetic wave transmitting device having a body and a heating assembly. The body can include a transmitting end and a receiving end. The heating assembly can be disposed on at least a portion of the transmitting end of the body. The heating assembly can include an electrically resistive element having an electrical connector.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a method for manufacturing luminous type sphere-shaped lamp and the sphere-shape lamp manufactured by using the method. The method comprises following steps: spraying resin on the internal surface of the sphere-shaped lamp; when the resin is about to be dried, covering a container containing fluorescence powder therein in the lamp; rotating the lamp, while overturning it 180 DEG , and applying the fluorescence powder on the resin evenly, so that an applied layer with micro thickness being formed on the internal surface of the sphere-shaped lamp. The lamp is made of a luminous type sphere-shaped lamp with high brightness luminous effect.
