Abstract:
A lighting assembly (140) includes a light transmissive substrate (142) extending along a length and including a light emission portion including opposed first and second major surfaces spaced apart from one another in a thickness direction, an inner edge surface extending between the first and second major surfaces in the thickness direction, and an outer edge surface opposed the inner edge surface and extending in the thickness direction. An extension portion extends from the light emission portion proximate the second major surface in the thickness direction. A light source (156) is attached to the extension portion. A light head (100) includes a housing (116), a primary light source (123) attached to the housing (116), and the lighting assembly (140) as an auxiliary lighting assembly (140). The housing (116) includes a channel in which the auxiliary lighting assembly (140) is retained.

Abstract:
A light assembly includes a base having a receiving port, and a first light source supported by the base. The first light source includes an area light emitting diode configured to emit light in an upward direction from the base. A second light source is supported by the base and includes a flood light emitting diode configured to emit light from a side of the base. A diffuser is supported by the base and extends upwardly from the base to enclose the first light source. A battery pack is removably received in the receiving port of the base.

Abstract:
An inventive OP field illumination device comprises an illumination unit (12) and is characterised by an integrated optical observation device (13a, 13b) which can be an operation microscope. Said device enables work to be carried out with the aid of an optical observation device (13a, 13b) without the need for a support and a holder for the optical observation device, in addition to the support and holder for the OP field illumination. The work of a doctor is also made easier by means of said optical observation device (13a, 13b) since no other support and holder reduces the freedom of movement thereof. The optical observation device (13a, 13b) can also be positioned without obstructing the support for the OP field illumination and without shadowing the point of the patient (3) which is to be treated or which is to be examined. Compared to prior art, the positioning of the optical observation device (13a, 13b) is simplified.
Abstract:
The inventive portable lighting device has a substantial portion thereof constructed of one or more fabric materials. The use of a fabric housing allows for additional functionality through the use of flexible storage space integrated into the devices, thereby yielding unique functionality and aesthetics. Various sized lighting devices can be designed by combining soft and hard materials ( i.e. , plastic, metal, fabric, rubber, foam, etc.) that allow for the addition of other objects to be securely and comfortably attached to, or carried in, the lighting device. The use of fabric also provides unique access to the batteries and bulb of the flashlight. The result of using fabric in a lighting device provides for a product family constructed of various materials that allow for flexible yet integrated looking and feeling storage solutions.
