    Abstract: Machine learning models for fraud detection. The method includes receiving a schedule of weights, the schedule comprising a plurality of entries, each entry comprising a transaction value weight, a transaction volume weight, and a range of intervention rates; testing the at least one machine learning model using a holdout data set, resulting in a ranked transactions data set; and evaluating the performance of the at least one machine learning model by computing the weighted harmonic mean of the ranked transactions data set using the schedule of weights.

    Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method of training a neural network to identify a type of golf swing based on a sound produced by an impact between a clubhead of a golf club and a golf ball. The method provides the neural network with multiple sets of inputs associated with multiple swings and multiple corresponding sets of known outputs. Each set of inputs includes at least (1) a spectrogram associated with sounds produced by the swing, and (2) impact position derived from impact tape on the clubhead used during the swing. The method uses the neural network to process each set of inputs to produce multiple sets of generated outputs. The method compares the known outputs with the generated outputs to compute error values that express differences between the known and generated outputs.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, and structures for efficiently identifying individual fibers located in a deployed cable that advantageously reduces laborious field efforts while reducing service outage time. The systems and methods locate a targeted fiber in a cable ("Cable ID") and then identify the targeted fiber ("Fiber ID") by detecting DFOS signal attentions – without cutting the optical fiber. Two distinct determinations may be made namely, Cable ID and Fiber ID. DFOS operation detects vibration signals occurring along a sensor fiber. As implemented, Cable ID is an interactive-machine learning-based algorithm that automatically locates cable position along a sensor fiber route. Fiber ID detects a signal attenuation by bending a group of fibers with bifurcation to pinpoint a targeted individual fiber within a fiber cable.

    Abstract: A quantum computer system uses a network of Mach-Zehnder interferometers (MZIs) to route laser light to selected atoms of a quantum array. The MZI network is defined in a photonic integrated circuit (PIC), which also includes an array of optical gratings. A laser system generates the light, the electronically controlled MZI network routes the light to respective optical gratings. The optical gratings convert the light from the MZI network into beams to illuminate the respective atoms so as to conditionally change their quantum states. This routing process offers advantages of economy, scalability and reliability over alternatives approaches to optical control of quantum states.
