摘要: Antenna feed chains and methods are disclosed. An antenna feed chain, include a feed horn having a first cross-polarization performance over a solid angle of interest and a frequency band of interest and a polarizer having a second cross-polarization performance over the solid angle of interest and the frequency band of interest. The polarizer is coupled to the feed horn. The first cross-polarization performance of the feed horn compensates for the second cross-polarization performance of the polarizer over the solid angle of interest and the frequency band of interest.

摘要: A multiple beam reflector antenna includes at least one reflector, a plurality of feed horns for feeding the at least one reflector, and a metamaterial lens interposed between the plurality of feed horns and the at least one reflector. The metamaterial lens may provide an overlapping element distribution from at least two feed horns of the plurality of feed horns. In one embodiment, the metamaterial lens has an index of refraction between about zero and about one.

摘要: A microwave horn antenna structure suitable for use in time of flight ranging systems and level measurement instruments. The horn antenna comprises a high gain antenna with a small aperture. The horn antenna includes a dielectric lens for focussing and directing transmitted electromagnetic energy to the surface of a material, e.g. liquid, held in a container. The electromagnetic energy reflected from the surface of the material are received by the horn antenna and converted in an electrical signal. The electrical signal is processed to determine the level of the material held in the container.

摘要: A multiple overlapping layer wireless network system for providing coverage in a multiple-office or business environment with multiple APs, and an improved method of designing and installing these multiple layers of wireless networks. Multiple overlapping wireless networks (i.e., multiple layers) are superimposed in the same area, and offset from each other according to their geometry. This results in a multiple wireless network installation with sufficient signal coverage in all areas for all networks with minimal inter-AP interference, segregated traffic, and multiple connections for each wireless network to one or more wired networks, thereby reducing the possibility of a single point of failure.
