Abstract: A cable installation apparatus includes a drive assembly and a cable assembly, wherein the apparatus dispenses the cable onto and/or into and along the inner surface of a tubular structure while being moved. The apparatus also includes a securing assembly for holding and dispensing a securing material component while the apparatus is being moved along the length of the tubular structure, wherein the securing material component secures the cable to the inner surface of the tubular structure after being dispensed from the apparatus. A cleaning assembly may also be included for cleaning portions of the inner surface of the tubular structure while the apparatus is being moved along the length of the tubular structure and before the cable is dispensed onto and/or into the portions of the inner surface of the tubular structure.

Abstract: A method of removing at least a portion of a rigid support body from a facility via an aperture in a wall of the facility is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of: subsequent to urging at least a first portion of a rigid support body, through which a covered portion of a flexible elongate member extends, through an aperture in a wall of a facility from outside to inside the facility, and subsequent to positioning at least one retaining element supported via the rigid support body in a respective deployed position in which a respective wall abutment surface of the retaining element is disposed in an abutting relationship against an inner surface of a wall of the facility, for retaining the rigid support body at a predetermined location with respect to the wall of the facility in which at least a first portion of the rigid support body is inside the facility, responsive only to one or more active repositioning steps that are wholly performed inside the facility, subsequently repositioning each retaining element from the deployed position and subsequently urging the first portion of the rigid support body through the aperture from inside to outside the facility thereby removing the first portion from the facility.

Abstract: Techniques for implementing a pipe deployment system that includes a pull head, which is to be secured to a pipe segment that includes tubing. The pull head includes a pull plate with a guide tab and a pull plate fastener opening. The pull plate is to be secured to the tubing of the pipe segment at least in part by securing a threaded fastener in the pull plate fastener opening and a pipe segment fastener opening that is aligned with the pull plate fastener opening while the guide tab is oriented outwardly and directly abuts the tubing of the pipe segment. The pull head includes an end assembly, which includes an end cap to be secured to the pull plate and a pull ring to be secured to one or more cables to enable the pull head to be pulled into an external bore, through the external bore, or both.
